Don’t put a lame duck product out on the field with the offense we had and you’ll keep bandwagon recruits lining up

Richt has no one to blame and it was obvious that class was crumbling when we started that offensive skid

Say what you want but that had everything to do with it

Coaches need to stop tweeting this non sense. Nobody wants to #watchthefinish because its always tragic. and south fl kids dont want to #makethecribgreat . We need to start paying for recruits or recruit elsewhere.
Lets start recruiting elsewhere all S.F. kids want to leave the state and go else where let's not put all our eggs in one basket with the S.F. kids. There have been plenty of Hurricane greats that are not from S.F.

Local kids dont care anymore about playing for their city. We should target California, Texas and Pennsylvania more for QBs, OL and DL. There is enough talent at WR, RB, CB, S where we can get enough local talent. We win this year and we will be a Top 15 class again. Hopefully the young offensive players can mature and improve their play. Offense struggles without Seniors: Herndon, Walton, Berrios

Gotta win to recruit and gotta recruit to win. Stuck in a catch 22 until you win with less or get a bump recruiting (usually early in a coaches tenure) This was the year to go 11-1 with our schedule and recruits would be lining up at the door but instead we went 7-5 (probably 7-6). So now Richt is gonna have to win next year with less talent and depth.

Can’t think of any coaches that botched year 3 (or later) on the field and recruiting plummeted that early in their tenure that actually recovered from it except Brian Kelly at ND.. and he recovered because of a staff overhaul. Only way to fix it is to win next year and hopefully save face and have a great class (already lost most of our best commits) and then on top of that hope you don’t have another fall out due to the youth you have to rely on from the failure of a 2019 class. The other option... overhaul the staff (LOL)

So how is FSU put together a decent class??? They were 5-7 and got blown numerous times at the end of the season.

I agree with you that our product is the main reason that we aren't recruiting. The problem is that we are the only school held to that standard. Tennessee and FSU are both dumpster fires and they don't seem to have trouble pulling guys. How long has texas been a dumpster fire? and they never have trouble recruiting. SF kids don't want to see Miami do great we have to pay or keep focusing on the studs that won't come here

Truth.

Part of #makethecribgreat is indeed getting kids to stay home and come to Miami to ball out...but you have to put a product on the field to empower them to make that choice to stay home, AND put them in a position to succeed once they get here. Our offense for **** sure isn't doing that. That's why the bulk of our class this year is defense. The players coming here on offense are looking at the opportunity to supplant the guys already here playing...but the reason why more offensive players aren't coming here is because we aren't putting up numbers on the scoreboard due to our archaic offensive playcalling.

Making the crib great is a 2-way street. Richt hasn't shown he understands that yet as far as this offense goes.

Because these kids saw win a natty within the past 5 years

Miami last was a serious national power when these kids were BORN!

Think about that they’ve grown up watching Radio, Golden and now Richt stumbling

What gives you confidence??

It has nothing to do with SF kids not wanting to see The U do great, it’s about wanting to explore the world and most of these kids have lived their entire lives in Miami!

should apply to every school recruiting its local area but somehow it only applies to Miami? Are SF kids the only ones that want to explore? shiiiit

I don’t have any confidence. I’ve posted about this before - even started a thread about it. It’s over. We don’t have the network, resources, cash, etc - you name it - to compete with the elite anymore. I know people don’t want to hear it - but that’s the reality of the situation. We’ll never see Miami at an elite level again.
