If AG left, the pool of candidates to replace him would have been lackluster at best considering the administration's unwillingness to commit the financial resources too land a top coach. Petrino and Butch were pipe dreams. Schiano and Chud are meh at best. I'm 50/50 on whether or not AG is the guy, but would much rather see what he can do over the next couple years than be looking for our third coach in less than 10 years. Especially considering the new hire was destined to be a C-list candidate at best.
