We're not there yet and if you thought we were.....you're delusional.

We need Dline. No pressure...no defens. No DTs no rush D.

I think we are a little further along than we should be tho. FSU just lost to a team that we scored on at will. What's their excuse?

8 wins and we call this season a success. But we might just win 9. The Blue Devils are what stand in our way.

Future looks bright. But this recruiting class should feature 17 Dlinemen

Kstate and ND are legit teams. We are legitimately average. We are showing heart but also showing our youth.

Also, our scheme on D is apocraphyLololololololol. But a solid Dline would cure that.

The young ins look good tho.

I expect to have a defense. We do not.

I expect for us to get better on D with coaching and experience. We are not.

I did not expect for us to field the WORST defense in Canes history.

Are those expectations too high?

This is only the third team in Miami history to lose two games in a season by 38 points. The other years? 2007 and 1944.

There's still 6 games left for Golden the his group of ****bags to shatter the record, though.

Ringz, maybe I'm one of the delusional fans, but what are we to do? Just accept the D as a lost cause because of youth? I refuse to beieve that just because we are really young on D that we have to lay down for people scheme wise. IMHO, one way or another we are getting torched by any team with a pulse. I like many could probably live with blitz happy D that gets gashed because then at least you are swinging punches, but to drop everyone back and rush ONLY 4 KNOWING you give up size, strength, and overall talent is absurd. Just letting them run around until they get tired and make a mistake is not playing D, it's just biding time and delaying the inevitable.

Yes We blitzed some but when we get no pressure, at what point as a coaching staff do you just say "**** It! Let's Get'em!"?

It's 60% on the coaches and 40% on the players

We are just too young. 5 upperclassmen in the 2-deep on D. Not Seniors. 5 players that have been in the program for more than 2 years. We are going to **** the bed on D against good teams with a roster like that. ****, we only gave up 11 more points than our vaunted 1988 squad did in South Bend, and they were a dominant, top 5 defense. At the least I'd flip your percentages. Nothing the coaches could have done last night or leading up to last night was going to prevent losing that game, and when things start going south with a young team it can get ugly. We couldn't afford to make mistakes, but that's just what the kids did. Hopefully they will learn going forward. THAT is what's on the coaches. We have a lot of young talent. There's no reason to believe they won't get better. If we are still having these issues midway through next year, then we have to take a long look at some of the coaches.

I went into this game hoping for a close one (i.e., not to get embarrassed and maybe, just maybe, pull off an upset), but worried about a blow-out. We just don't have the horses yet. I did expect more from us on offense and that was very disappointing.

And there's also time left to win the Coastal

You and I disagree on many, but this one I agree with all of it 110%!

I am having visions. And each one is clearer than the last. I see Mike James crying on the floor with tears of joy as he points up to the sky to his mother. I see Morris on a knee doing the Tebow. His helmet still strapped on his head as he tries his best to breathe and not cry. I see Golden jumping for joy and running full steam ahead as Sebastian the Ibis runs for his life. I see a team that made as many mstakes as they did big plays to come out with a victory over America's sweetheart. I see a crowd full of Notre Dame fans in shock as Miami pulls off the upset. I see glittered signs that read "We back" and "The U is back" all over soldier field as the few Canes fans that are there rush onto it. Pandemonium in Chcago as the "crazy Canes" go to 5-1 and off to their best start in 7 years. I shed a tear. I see D Money and Yany in the stands hugging each other but Money is a bit drunk so he head butts her in the nose by mistake. She don't care tho. She gonna take half his **** in 15 years anyway. I see a weight lifted off of Golden's chest as he finally realizes it is possible to bring the U back from the dead........he is covered in Sebastian's blood as he glares blankly into the Cane's section of Soldier field. Sebastian is rushed to the nearest hospital. Gold confetti everywhere as they didnt pack Orange and Gree for Miami. Band of the Hour playing their hearts out........all 4 of them bless their hearts. I see the world shaking their heads. I see the world gnashing their teeth at the thought of the U being back. They prayed for so long that we wouldn't be. They hoped for so long that we'd cease to exist.

Yeah it's tough to watch our kids work and fight and still end up statistically the worst D we've had since I've been watching Canes football. It's like watching your kid learn how to hammer. You can see it coming. You know it's going to hurt. But you also know they gotta live it to learn it.

I love UM and UM football, and I'm happy as **** we have a decent shot at the division and even the conference, but **** it I'd just like to see us play well in all 3 phases at the same time again.
