Well, not that WVU fans are much better in general, but I knew a player in the early 2000s from WV that told me he got death threats when he selected Miami and he was a long snapper and didnt make his announcement on WVU's campus.

And I do think there would be some stupid Miami fans that would do it, b/c I think there are idiots in every fanbase that hide behind anonymity.

Where did I say that kind of behavior is tolerable? My post was directed at the idea that only '******* rednecks' get bent out of shape enough to issue death threats over sports. That's what I took away from the post I replied to.

Sure. No other slice of humanity gets overly-worked up about sports. Just facking rubes for CFB. To borrow a phrase from the WEZ, latin male? I think they've ACTUALLY killed people over futbol mishaps. Ref. Maybe a player.
