Dont give up on this package just because he made a poor read

That can be coached up

He can run, he is very very fast

Or he can hand off to Duke

Or he can throw deep, he has an arm

Really can he be more innacurate than Morris?

With our spped at wr, this can be a deadly package

Agree and, was that pass really that far off? Of course he had Duke wide open in the flat but, in my humble opinion, the pass looked catchable!

I agree. I would like to see it a lot more. Kid has a nice arm but made a bad throw, I would like to see more of the wildcat with him though.

Yeah & use it with more field available

Send dorsett deep with duke in da flat

If they drop coverage, hand off to james or run hourself

Its a numbers game

When they ran that play, I saw these options:

1. Give it to Dorsett on fly sweep
2. Fake Fly sweep and run
3. Throw to TE/WR on strong side
4. Throwback to Morris on weakside
5. LATERAL to Morris for a double pass
6. Play-action off ANY of the passing options to a double move, or run (another 5 options)

I think we use that a bit more in the future, maybe 4 or 5 times a game. A really brilliant wrinkle from the usually braindead Jedd Fisch

Not a fan since it isnt used much and it hasnt been very successful IMO.

I was surprised we ever ran this package with James and not Crawford from the beginning

Crawford could have ran for a TD with a block from Duke. He also could have thrown it to Duke for an easy TD. He brings an interesting dynamic that I hope to see more of.

Yeah, Fisch is so brain dead that he manages to scheme up plays that results in WR's running wide open all the time. What an idiot he is.

Seriously? If anything, Fisch outsmarts himself sometimes by getting too cute and pass-happy. But yeah, let's call our OC who calls plays that get WRs wide open more often than not "brain dead" instead. :ohlord:

I hate when he does that. So many choices, I get confused myself. Feel bad for Morris on those plays.

Exactly. Not to mention Morris has a bum ankle and we have no backup. Dumb play call

There are times when Morris pre-determines where he is throwing to before the snap and there are times where he surveys the field properly and finds the open guy.

This is the enigma of Stephen Morris.

The thing I don't get is, when he makes bad decisions, he's got perfect protection from the OL. Yet he still doesn't go through progressions. I'm just waiting for the light to come on.
