“With all the support that he’s been giving, and the work he’s been putting in has definitely been paying off. He’s showing he’s definitely one of the better centers, I think, in the ACC.”

Al Golden made that observation this week while scouting Virginia (3-6, 1-4 ACC) as his Miami Hurricanes (5-4, 4-2) prepare to make a noon, Saturday, visit to Scott Stadium.

“I’m really impressed with UVa’s offensive line, especially the tackles and the center,” Golden said during his weekly press conference. “I think the center is as good as anyone we’ve seen so far this year.”

We all saw in the VT game how hitting Thomas over and over again really made him an awful QB. We need to keep that up this week with these two JAG QB's

Need to get a good game out of the DTs again. Pierre and Porter need to step it up again this week.

Porter will open things up for the other dt's and Mccord rushing opposite Chick will open him up for one on one with the olineman. The d-line gonna step up big in this game.

What makes this week any different than the previous 9?

Dumb comment. So, it is not possible to improve even with baby steps over the course of a season. The D's improved play was obvious against VT. They are not world beaters but improved nonetheless.
