How long has grimble been moved to DE and not DT?

Where has Darius Smith gone?

Notice Cleveland is the third TE. I watched for him last week and I'm not sure he played at all on offense. If he did it was less than 10 snaps.

I am beginning to think we burned Lockharts red**** for no reason. He hasn't got a pass yet and plays about 5 plays a game.

Once again no Dallas Crawford listed. I'd like to see him get a couple of carries this week but if the staff does not trust him, no reason for me to.

Lockhart and Ivery better go HAM these last 3 games or I'm gonna get upset.

Darius Smith is a total scrub.

Cleveland is tied for second on the depth chart, hence the "OR."

I like the Grimble move to DE, we need some more depth out there and I think he is better than Green.

I think this Dallas Crawford wild cat could really catch UVA off guard, there is literally only one play we ran of it. Not much film to prepare.

You can always redshirt a player in the future, if Lockhart can contribute today then so be it.

Grimble to DE was a great move

He did well vs VT. Much stronger than Green

Respectfully, I just don't understand the uproar over burning a receiver's redshirt. Golden is looking for stars, not JAGs. And we desperately need someone to step up and become a stud at wideout. Any game time action is important for a guy who we will look to next year to compete for a starting role. If he excels as we hope he does, then we have him for 3 years as a starter - can't ask for much more than that - and he's off to the NFL (and at that point he'll be 5 years removed from high school). If, on the other hand, he busts, then the burned shirt really doesn't matter, does it?

Wow is Jimmy Gaines really that big? 6-3 230? Not sure why but I didn't realize that until I looked over the depth chart this week.

And the redshirt does matter given that there are so many other people playing in front of him. If we were burning his shirt to give him significant PT, I would agree that it's ok and we would find out if he was a bust or a star, but we're not doing that. We're burning his shirt for a handfull of snaps per game, if that.

Crawford is definitely 3rd string RB. They just did not list a 3rd string.

I usually defend the coaches, but I'm still scratching my head after they said they burned Lockhart's shirt because he had a good week of practice before FSU

Lockhart gets 5 plays a game because he can only remember 5 plays. He has great ability, but struggling mentally and just can't remember plays. Which does make you wonder why they burned the redshirt.

He was definitely in uniform for VT.

So Waters, Lockhart, and Malcolm Lewis will be sophomores next year. Scott, Hurns, and Dorsett as the upperclassmen. I like it.

Well, he spent a year at prep school, and can't remember plays here. That doesn't sound like a smart kid. (I don't know him, so maybe I'm wrong) But, how long do you think he plans to be in school? I see no point in redshirting him at all. If he's any good he'll be gone ASAP. If he isn't, then who cares? In this day and age, unless a kid is not physically up to where he needs to be to compete, I see no reason to redshirt a guy.

Not only in uniform but he played on some running plays and he was the main WR when we were running out he clock.

Malcolm Lewis will be a red shirt freshman next year pretty much got the medical hardship and also Ramon Buchanon might be back as well next year..

I dunno. Rashawn Scott played in about the same amount of games that Lewis played last year and he's a sophomore.

Scott played in 6 games last year. Lewis played in 4 this year. Scott was outside the limit, Lewis is inside the limit. Lewis will be a redshirt FR next year.

That's certainly the hope on Lewis, but he still has to apply for and be granted a medical shirt. He *should* get it, but there are never any guarantees. Either way, we have a dynamic WR corps coming back next year - add AJL and it's a pretty impressive group. If Walford continues to progress, it'll be even better. We definitely shouldn't lack for weapons on offense next season.
