Signing Day is expected to be the end of a big stretch run for FSU to top off a highly rated recruiting class across all of the recruiting sites. In what was a bit of a surprise, the 'Noles landed a commitment from ★★★★ ATH Ricardo Louis, but he has since backed off and will choose between FSU and Auburn on Signing Day. They've also had ★★★★★ DE Mario Edwards re-affirm his commitment early last week. Also in the season's final days, the Noles are expected to be in the running for the following decisions; ★★★★★ CB Tracy Howard, ★★★★★ DT Eddie Goldman, ★★★★★ CB Ronald Darby, ★★★★★ LB Josh Harvey-Clemons, ★★★★ DE Leonard Williams, and ★★★★ LB Reggie Northrup. They are also looking for commitments ★★★★★ QB Jameis Winston, ★★★★★ DE Dante Fowler, and ★★★★ DB PJ Williams to firm up commitments leading into Signing Day.

Last year, the Tigers finished with one of the stronger late-season recruiting pushes in the ACC. However, this year, its been a bit quiet in regards to the big names being floated out there, but the class should finish in the Top 20 nationally across all of the publications. They received a final weekend visit from ★★★★ LB Reggie Northrup and coming down the stretch, the Tigers are in consideration for tone big name to watch on signing day...★★★★★ CB Ronald Darby.

Not typically a powerhouse on the recruiting trail, and this season being no different, it'll be a quiet national signing day for Wake. They received a recent commitment from ★★★ DL Trevor Harris from Baton Rouge, ★★ QB Steve Donatell from Highlands Ranch, Colorado, and ★★★ WR Teddy Matthews from Royal Palm Beach. They'll be waiting on ★★★ LB Beau Hawkins (Birmingham, AL) on Signing Day.

Leading in to Signing Day, the Wolfpack have had a few commitments along their front seven. Lead by Georgia ★★★ DE Kenderius Whitehead but also ★★★ LBs Robert Caldwell and Drew Davis (former Minnesota commitment). The 'Pack and Heels have swapped a pair, though, as former Tar Heel commit ★★★ DE Desmond Owino switched his commitment from UNC to the NCSt while NCSt lost ★★★ QB James Summers (Greensboro, NC) to their in-state rivals. They've picked up a recent transfer in Colorado State QB Pete Thomas as well.

Maryland
Since the hiring of new offensive coordinator Michael Locksley, the Terps have been in the mix for a lot of recruits and have received some high end commitments including prep ★★★ WR Levern Jacobs and top local ★★★★ running backs Wes Brown and Albert Reid. They've also been able to get some late consideration from big time locals ★★★★★ DT Eddie Goldman, ★★★★★ WR Stefon Diggs, ★★★★★ CB Ronald Darby, ★★★★ CB Kenneth Crawley and ★★★★ DL Korren Kirven.

Boston College
Its been a bit of a hard luck stretch run for Boston College. They've lost a few recruits along the way, especially some in-state kids. ★★★ TE Jameson McShea recently decided to go to Harvard over his BC offer, ★★ CB Donovan Henry has switched his commitment to Northeastern to pursue a career in track, ★★★ TE Sam Grant de-commits and re-opens his recruitment late, and ★★★ RB Akeel Lynch decommits to give his pledge to Penn State. Looking like a weak finish for 2012 for the Eagles.

Just going to take a quick look at each of the ACC Teams leading up into signing day...Today, going to be the Atlantic. Tomorrow, going to be the Coastal and if I get another five minutes, might do a run down of the in-state teams. Just something to give ya'll an idea of what has happened in the past few weeks in the ACC on the recruiting front and some players they are looking at going in to signing day.

I think FSwho is gonna be the hat left the most on the table come NSD... gut feeling since it seems most of their kids are SEC guys..

Good stuff, Larry!!

Put me in the camp that is very impressed with the job that Randy Edsell is doing with this years class at Maryland.

FSU is landing some elite level talent. That's good.

In two years, FSU's D line will be lethal.

FSU's always had a good collegiate defensive line.

They always have those lean ends that collect a ton of sacks. They always have some stout tackles. A lot of them get drafted. The ends don't really pan out unless they are converted to linebackers. The tackles are a mixed bag. Some really good. Some not so good.

I think its generally par for the course at FSU. But this class has an exceptional amount of quality defensive linemen for them. Its a bit abnormal for that many highly regarded preps to sign to the same school when they are all playing similar positions. Its a real strong group. You don't see it too often. I do have little doubt that some of those players pan out. When you take so many highly regarded ones, unless you're Miami, you aren't swinging and missing on every player.

Yeah, that has me worried a bit. Hopefully they'll turn out like a lot of our highly ranked players over the past few years.

Its laughable how so many are bagging on FSU's DL commits, when if it was us that had that many highly rated pledges, there'd be uncontrollable fapping all over the place. They are doing a phenomenal job building that front wall; hopefully we can do the same with this years class and next years talented crop of of DL. Also with them getting this many good ones, I think its Avery Young (not Tracy Howard) that would be the biggest signing day pick-up. JMO.....
