As recruiting heats up and numbers become more & more important, I though I'd see what current roster spots might be available next year. I know this isn't nice to do to guys who work & sweat all week, but like they say, "It's not personal, it's just business."
While I don't think Al would just refuse to renew a guy's 'ship if he had 'got with the program', I do think some gentle persuasion might be in order [We don't have many plans for you, you might wanna transfer to get more PT"].
On the other hand, some questionable problems might get the 'Uncle Al' talk to. [Cain & Johnson]. They might also decide to transfer on their own, for their own personal reasons.
Last, the two guys considering the NFL --Henderson & Porter -- I hope they stay & seek competent advice, but we never know.
Last, I have not listed anyone here, but will we keep all of this year's RS Fr Quaterbacks? I assume Thompson is expendable & still can use his BB scholie.
I would think that some change will occur before spring semester, others, after Spring Practice when handwriting is on the wall & new recruits are known.

Johnson (So) Will Al tolerate him?
Cain (Sr) - Ditto / might be a grades problem, as well
Highsmith (Sr) - Not easy, but he has his degree
Cleveland - Not UM talent
Harvey (Jr) - Not UM talent
C. King (Jr) - Not UM talent
Brisco (So) - Reported non-contrib
D. Perry - Not UM talent
C. White - reportededly already gone
Henderson ?
Porter ?

Johnson (So) one of our best players on defense
Cain (Sr) - real possibility he might leave
Highsmith (Sr) - Not going anywhere
Cleveland - real possibility he might leave
Harvey (Jr) - walk on/who cares
C. King (Jr) - depends who comes in at DT
Brisco (So) - don´t be ridiculous, kid´s a RS Fr next year and maybe our most talented DT prospect
C. White - real possibility he might leave
Henderson ?
Porter ?

Staff may be on the fence about Hunter Wells and David Perry, too.

I would def put Wells and Perry on that list...and you never know, but maybe one of the QBs (Crow) might also want to look around once they see baby Jesus on campus.

You're right about D. Perry. My bad, just an oversight. It's been corrected.

I'm not so sure about Wells at this point.

Kacy picked up his play once Porter came back. Dude was making a ton of plays at the end of the season. Maybe the switched tunrs on for him. He has the measurables to be a good safety. Tall, fast, and is putting on serious weight.

Perry is a D1 DE that just isnt progressing.

King is the strongest DL on the team hands down. Just needs some experience.

Brisco is still a baby. I mean don't you hear the stories of him playing video games all day? He's still just a kid and you all are doggin him already

Cleveland sucks

Highsmith gets to stay bcuz of his daddy

White sucks

Cain skips practices and sucks

Kacy looked like he should be playing corner IMO. he looked pretty good playing the Nickle corner spot. he is really bad at safety though.

This. Down the stretch, dude looked very good in man coverage. Too much space left him "room" for error.

If Porter didn't learn anything from Marcus Forston he isn't smart enough to play in the NFL after all the games he missed each and every year at UM. Porter needs a full year to show he can hold up one full season. Henderson got beat out by a true freshmen Flowers this year. Henderson would be lucky to get a 6th round NFL pick which he gets for size not what he has shown on the field.

wouldn't be surprised if Cain and Cleveland get shown the door...

Cain is just a troublemaker for someone who is expendable and with zero production..

and Cleveland because of just the influx of good young talent coming in
