The D you see Temple in is the same one D'onofrio is running here...The main reason that basic D worked for D'onofrio at Temple is because of the talent he had. That 2010 D had a few draft picks (one being first round) plus a bunch of other guys who were picked up by NFL teams. When you factor in competition, they were loaded. So the only way this guy can work is if we hit on all our recruits and just out-talent the opposition. Against teams with similar talent on offense or a good coordinator, his D will get lit up.

And when UF's former Gator OC got to Temple he turned their defense into something nasty (granted it was with Golden recruits and development)

But the scheme changed and they dominated the MAAC.
