DT Fredrick Jones from Monsignor Pace just up in Opa-Locka. Has a great get off, decent size (about 6'2" 280) and is strong as an ox. Somewhat surprised we haven't heard his name come up at all. Beast shot putter, wouldn't be surprised if he's being heavily recruited in T&F

Shot put PR of 61'

Made 3rd team All-Dade last year in a senior heavy field. Kid could really blow up this fall

Well, In track and field, Vince Wilfork was the Florida Class 4A state champion in the shot put and the discus in 2000. He also holds the Florida state high school record in the shot put with a throw of 68 feet (20.73 m).

And this year apparently this Austin Droogsma is eating Jones's lunch when it comes to Shot Put, although Jones did start the season ranked 5th in the state.

I didn't See Fredrick Jones from Monsignor Pace mentioned in the finals wrap up, I definitely agree that Jones needs to show out at 1 or 2 of AG's camps if he wants to get on UM's radar an then he is looking like a plan C type, because his highlights don't show his pursuit ability, but it does show his brute strength against weaker opponents.
