The playoffs continue to roll on as we have reached the 8A regional finals. These are two of the best defenses in the area. This should be fun.

Holding penalty stalls what looked like a promising opening drive or South Dade. Columbus football.

McDuffy's pass is tipped but still almost caught by a Columbus receiver before Francois rips the ball away and comes up with an interception. That's his 4th interception in the last 5 quarters of play. South Dade ball near the 50.

Najeh Baker wide open over the middle for a 30 yard touchdown catch. Extra point is blocked.
6-0 South Dade with 6:40 left in the 1st quarter.

Francois is a STUD! I have never heard of a high school player having 12 interceptions in a single season. 6 in a season is very impressive, 12 is just ridiculous.

6-0 SD after 1. Columbus is moving the ball but they are struggling with penalties.

Henry Parrish catches a slant route from the slot and weaves through the defense for a 21 yard touchdown. 7-6 Columbus with 9:43 left in the half.

Jaden Francois is both the punter and the punt returner for South Dade. Any have another example of this?

12 yard touchdown run by Parrish but McDuffy's arm did most the work on that drive. 14-6 Columbus with 3 minutes left in the half.

Sideways pass falls incomplete but it was called a backwards pass. Columbus recovers the ball at the 15.

15 yard touchdown pass to Michael Cruz-Bustello on the very next play. Fumble on the extra point attempt. 20-6 Columbus with 1:25 left in the half.

South Dade tries to get fancy with a double pass but it's intercepted by Rudy Puig. Columbus football at their own 15 with 37 seconds left in the half. They will probably just take a knee.

A big time run from Henry Parrish run put Columbus in the red zone but they were forced to settle for a field goal. 23-6 Columbus.
