Portal

Expect a couple DBs and at least one on O to hit the portal in the coming days/weeks
Geo mentioned a couple OL likely to hit the portal

TA Cunningham

Andrew: Recruitment not over when he commits
Andrew: Recruitment could blow up if he does well in Central
Andrew: Feels confident he commits to PSU
Geo: PSU only school willing to take his commitment among his finalist

Collin Simmons

Geo: Picks Texas, Won't be Miami, although he's keeping his decision making very private
Andrew: There are teams higher than Miami

WR Board

Smith, Wingo, McCoy
Andrew: They are all in on Smith, Wingo. Miami not pushing for McCoy.
Andrew & Geo disagree w/the approach of focusing exclusively on 5*
Oregon sniffing around McCoy

Heyward

Geo: Leading up to the visit, Miami pushing hard for Heyward
Geo: After OV, cooled off
Geo: Wouldn't be surprised to see Heyward at the BBQ

TEs

Geo: Lofton ranked #1 TE by Max Preps
Geo: Miami wants two in this class
Geo: Targets: Galloway, Hansen
Geo: Miami working on the flip while he was an L$U commit

Ahfua

Geo: Miami picking up a LOT of steam here
Geo: Another WA recruit
Andrew: Galloway the top target on the board

Washington Recruits

Ahfua and Hansen this year
Geo: Miami has done well in WA
Andrew: there were rumors that he was about to commit
Andrew: Washington and Utah may have convinced him to take visits.

Commit Watch?

👀

Geo: We MAY be back with another space this week depending on what happens (is someone on commit watch?)

Q&A

Sione Laulea

Geo says USC continues to lead

DTs on Roster

Geo told by OL that Deen is an absolutely handful. He's going to shock some people who are sleeping on him.
Coaches high on Moten and even Horton. If Horton can learn the playbook, he's going to get PT

DT Recruiting

Why are we having more success w/Edges than DT. Is it big Joe?
Andrew: JT having an impact on the edges
Andrew: Heard coach Joe not as great a communicator as JT
Geo: Breland and Franklin still very much in play
Geo: Jones is a Top 100 player. Criminally underrated

Howard

Geo: Miami watching him closely, wanted him to camp, didn't happen

Mincey

Geo: He wants to be a CB, Miami views him as a S or Star
Geo: Doesn't expect committment in the near term

23 WR

Hykeem. Gattis and McClendon combined to killed that recruitment. Miami never really pushed here
Brown. Miami did circle back later on and tried to flip.

BBQ

Geo: LWS will have a list starting next week

Ewald:

Miami has traction here and will be pushing

Patterson

Geo: I see him in Miami's recruiting class (even said it was a definitive prediction)

Seaton

Geo: Miami doesn't have much traction as far as he knows

He will be in the NFL. If our DT’s stay healthy, we will surprise people.
I like the Guidry hire a lot. I feel like we’ve made some hires where I’m looking at the roster and going “this doesn’t fit” but this last offseason I think Mario did a good job

Guidry did a great job with his DL last year in the games I saw as much as he’s known as a secondary guy

this ... i'm cautiously optimistic because i think we finally have competent coordinators, especially guidry

I’m with ya on the cautious optimism. Very very cautious haha

We need to stay healthy of course but the pieces are there to have a solid season

Supposedly, the D is going to improve. I expect year 1 to be a learning curve and year 2 we will see a major jump.

Hopefully that learning curve still nets us 8+ wins. Everything changes if we get some momentum this season.

Can we see a Heupel like vector? 7-6 to 11-2? We were 5-7, so that would mean a 9-4 season. I will take that!

This is where I am at, too. I think this has been his pattern at other stops.
Year 1 it's a bit better, but a learning curve. Year 2 his system is fully implemented and dudes are wreaking havoc.

Deen has that kind of talent? ****, that's good news for the defense.
People shouldnt doubt Deen, he is very good. The issue is that he is undersized and we needed not only a 1 tech but a big DT to be versatile. Our issue at DT is we are undersized right now. That all said he was a player at Purdue.

Our Defense will be loaded next year, too. 24’ going to be a fun year. 25’ we win #6.

Our offensive improvements alone will make the d look better.

Idk if Georgia defense numbers woulda been where they are if they had our offense.
