QBS like the past, pocket passers. California qbs are pretty good. Ken Dorsey was our last great qb. College football has changed big time. I noticed that all teams are doing the shotgun style and no more staying under center. even the pros. Canes need to go back to basic football. Great offensive line, tight ends, fullbacks. **** its so obvious. Miami getting beat by Duke, BC, Virginia and GT is unacceptable. 2 YRS ago, most on this board praised Richt. to many folks on this board just dont know football. the canes will be just fine. we dont have the players right now on offense. Offense of line is a joke, been like this since Davis left the program. Go recruit offensive line players from the mid west. Patriots are the perfect example. O line is the foundation.

California QB's and Midwestern lineman?

You know Miami is a Florida school right? We can win with recruiting SoFla and playing SoFla ball.

Yes, funny dude, look at what is going on. its not like we are a caliber team. south fla, i know. it aint working. we won with Torreta, Dorsey. u are funny my friend. Gayturds, semenholes, are not doing so well. im talking about oline and qbs funny man.

wow, ok. lets only recruit out of fl. the more u expand, the better results. state of florida never produced great offensive lineman. Miami needs to put their hands in the others cookie jar, others do it to us.. open the doors to other good recruits. Davis recruited Canadian players also. the northern pipeline.

Pocket Passers don’t win rings in College
Don’t even think of rings in the foreseeable future. This program is busted. Fourth lousy coach in a row. No qb and ol. Very few playmakers and elite players on roster. We have gone from 15 years of mediocrity to now beginning a cycle of being a bad team

Who says that, we dont have to follow. the Canes did it in 2001 with Dorsey and a great oline. Patriots are doing it and they still win big time. the offensive line is the foundation. we have already a good defense.

Wasn't Brad Kaya a pocket passer? From California?
yes but was he not running for his life, no offensive line. Kaya would have been great with a decent oline. Miami has never had a good oline. last time we had a good oline, was under coach Davis.

Miami needs to re evaluate the offense. canes relied on the defense so many times. if it wasnt for the defense and coach Manny, we would have lost 4 games last year. as a defensive player, i would be so ****ed on wiping the offense ***. we are lucky to have a defense like this. if it continues like this, we are losing for a long time. ****, are we on probation right now. sure looks like it. its a joke. most inept team i have seen in a long time. look at last year, Wisconsin badgers kicked our asses all over the place. offensive line, they always have one.

This program is at Carl Selmer level. At this point I wonder if Miami football is worth saving. What’s the point of watching a chit team like this year after year? Just terrible football. I doubt we could beat some juco and HS teams.

RBL, I have been a Hurricane since 83, im 49 yrs young. the canes were known as the qb U. Miami cant rely anymore on the talent they once had. back then, Miami won cause of talent and attitude. we are now competing with other florida schools. The program needs to change and adjust. the foundation of an offense, is a great oline. if not for an oline, the offense will always rely on the defense. at one point, what goes up must come down. the canes finally hit a brick wall. no offensive lineman, no championships period. The defense can do so much. Investing in the oline is key.

Back in the day Nebraska always turned out good oline players.in fact they were known as oline u.I don't know specific s but I know they had a walk on program kid went through a training regimen from the time they stepped on campus.for what it's worth under Osborne Nebraska didn't have a losing season in 3 decades.always had a decent oline.

Very well put.

Intest 5 year program of drugs and corn feeding with the livestock. They cheated.

Sure they did never heard of Nebraska being put on probation.where's your facts.

Ole Tom was one of the Saints of college football. Not much was done about roids back then and the heavy use was during redshirt year when the “growing” was done. In the 90’s Tom abandoned all pretense of displine for the sake of winning. Player beating up girls, multiple arrests without consequences. He was prototype for Urban at UF. No punishment. He was good ole boy. NE did get slapped on wrist for extra benefits later on, but Tom was untouchable.
