Bakas made an interesting comment in yesterday's chat that I found interesting. He said that PJ Williams wanted to make a last minute surprise switch and ink with the Canes on Wednesday and not tell FSU. His grandmother scolded him and said he should not do that and he agreed to respect his grandmother's wishes, so he is going to sign with FSU. So I ask:


Is it just me or would you also consider that to be a serious "richard" move? I dont know how I would feel about landing PJ Williams if he came in that way. Please note that I have PJ Williams listed higher on my board than Tracy Howard or Deon Bush. But I dont think I'd want him to sign with UM that way.

Thoughts?

huh? FSU would do it to us in a heartbeat. It's fall fair in love and recruiting.
 
But I don't buy the story. He could've just done a regular switch and not led on FSU. Did grandma willard have a problem with that?

It is a serious "Richard" move and their fans, staff, etc. would be justified to be ****ed.

That said, If it happened just that way I'd love it since we'd be the benefactors.

No thank you to prima donnas. They tend to be more problems than they're worth. You want to come to Miami then make the phone calls and inform both coaching staffs your decision. I'm not sure Golden would accept it without asking if the kid notified FSU. I'm not even sure Miami will send a letter of intent to his high school.

Considering "character" is part of what Golden wants to infuse into this program, a kid doing that would not exactly fit that criteria.

That's said, if he did it, its fine in my books. ***** FSU, they can eat a big bag of richards!

I question the validity. Sounds like Ramon Buchanon being driven down to Miami and hiding in a safehouse to sign his letter of intent.

if he wanted to switch, sure, non richard move if he tells them. whether it's Monday or 20 minutes before he announces and signs tomorrow.

If he's all along telling them he is committed and signing, then signs with UM without telling them, it's a richard move and i'd rather not have guys like that.

This. Mike's just looking for a way out to cover his wrong prediction back when that this kid was a cane lean. Now it's he wanted to come here but his grandma said no? Uh, okay.

I had asked that, for purposes of discussion we assume the info is correct. We're talking about the last minute move, not ******* mike bakas. I swear you guys have this total passive agressive love affair with mike. If this were kindergarten you guys would be pulling Mikes hair during recess. sheesh!
 
The reason I bring this us is that I see hordes of people now saying they'll be ****ed if Tracy Howard is trolling the Canes. lol

I also see plenty of people here who would have no problem with a kid who commited to FSU months ago, then reaffirmed his commitment in mid January and now says he wants to sign with UM and surprise everyone on NLOI day.

I was trying to gage the true level of ethics here. I applaud PentagonCane for being THE ONE.


BTW - If you want the real info here, I think it shows (1) How much momentum UM has going into signing day. and (2) Just how much these kids communicate with each other.
