Everybody is expendable though, but I’ll be honest, not excited about McClendon coming down here, solid recruiter but not a great coach & idk if we need anybody else from the Richt tree here again.

And while I know everyone is high right now, but once the high comes down it’s very very pivotal that we nail the OC hire, not just from an X’s & O’s standpoint but also from an eval & QB recruiting standpoint. It will be ignored & swept under the rug for the next few years, but it really cannot be overstated at how bad the QB situation was at Oregon, like Miami 2018-2019 kinda bad. Mario is a God I know, but his QB moves since Herbert hit the league were really horrendous & we have to have a guy at OC/QB coach that can handle that on his behalf.

This. I love the Hire. But even with Herbert his Offence wasn't great. Honestly I was shocked how much better Herbert looked when he left Oregon. The QB situation in Oregon has been a disaster since.

Can he build a winning culture and lead a program? 100%.
Can he put the points on the board needed to win a Natty in todays brand of football? Not sure.

Stephen field probably stays in some way..I’d try to keep TROB..DVD as well…this tough. Idk much about Oregon’s staff other than maribal being from down here and they WR coach supposedly being good. Manny put together a **** good staff..we’ll see tho

His coordinator hires have been bad too.

Arroyo was horrible. And he should have known that since he was co-coordinators with him.

Avalos was good.

Moorehead was coming off ****** offenses at MSU. But on paper it was good.

DeRuyter sucks.
 
I’d be fine keeping Hickson unless we’re going for a noticeable upgrade like Seider.

He’s recruited well in SFL. I know that’s not real hard, but him being a local guy helps.

TRob is retainable. Everyone else on D needs to go without even an opportunity to stay. Get rid of the Manny stink.

Keep Trob

Hopefully, we're moving to an Alabama model of staff, where support positions will actually still be coaching and will have respectable salaries. If this happens, I say move ISH, DVD, Field and Hickson to off-field/analyst/recruiting roles.

Move on from the rest.

I hope we keep Likens. I also hope Mario isn't stubborn and goes with a similar offense that made this O successful the second half of the season. I would throw the bank at Tom Herman if possible to bring him in.

That one will be interesting. He may get unconventional and keep both in some capacity, but how it shakes out will be interesting because both can't coach Tight Ends.

Mario ”took” him from Bama after Saban moved him from Assistant Coach to Senior Analyst.

Williams should be offered an Analyst role here. His best coaching days are behind him.

You know, Mario basically overthrew Manny and stole his kingdom. He vanquished him. He's the sole reason Manny no longer has his job. He took it.

In wars throughout most of human history, the losing side would be enslaved, murdered, or entered into games to the death for amusement by great armies.

What I'm saying is we don't want any holdovers with the stink of loser on them or any who are potentially still loyal to Manny and don't fully buy in.
