LB's vs UNC

Hoping to see the guys make a big impact Thursday night. If I remember right they made some real good plays last year @UNC. Shaq running down Surrat inside the 5 was a big play and Pinckney made some plays as well. I know the group is solid, we just haven't seen that "big play" much this year but I know they got it in them!!

I hope the LBs stop hearing false agent rep b s. I think it depends especially if our Dline can win the trenches like Norton and crew last yr.

Our LBs are not that great in pass coverage. Look at this play:

Based on what everyone else it looks like a zone. Pinckney jams a WR but then he completely abandon his zone and follows the WR he just jammed.
Because of this Shaq is completely confused. Shaq sees Pinckney go with a WR so he goes after the other WR Pinckney left behind. Our LBs don't do a good job communicating and defending crosser routes. You never see any of our players on defense point to teammates indicating that a WR is about to enter their area during a play.

These kinds of mistakes will be exploited by ACC teams if this continues.
