The Canes continued their hot streak with the commitment of prized LB Gavin Nix. The 6’, 225-pound Nix is a consensus four-star prospect anf the leader on a loaded IMG defense. Nix, who some have compared to Jonathan Vilma because of his speed and cerebral nature, chose Miami over FSU and Oregon.



Nix is the 15th commitment in the 2025 class, joining QB Luke Nickel, RB Girard Pringle, TE Brock Schott, TE Luka Gilbert, OT Jaden Wilkerson, OT Demetrius Campbell, OG TK Muex, OG Max Buchanan, DE Herbert Scroggins, LB Elijah Melendez, LB Ezekiel Marcelin, DB Amari Wallace, DB Tim Merritt and CB Chris Ewald.
