A Miami blitzer coming free, unblocked. I'd like to give Bush credit here, but clearly he screwed up on this play. Normally our blitzers job is to pick out an offensive lineman and ram themselves into his chest, then remain engaged until the ref blows his whistle, signalling a touchdown for the offense. I expect Bush to be suspended for the first game of 2014.

I truly thought Dorito was gonna bring it.

Boy were we wrong. Only points we had till the 4thquarter embarrassing

Bring what? No one got to the UL QB when we blitzed. He completed passes anyway. Or used his legs and made a play. Or was coached to call a screen which he and his team executed to perfection. He was a difference maker, and anyone that has seen us play this year could have predicted the result. We make ordinary QB's have career days, let alone someone decent.

The safety was a promising beginning to what ended up as a clusterf*ck. and for good measure, we were o'fer on third down on offense, with no running game, an OL that underperformed and a QB that was, well, himself.

One would have thought the positive result of Bush blitzing would encourage the coaches to do it more often.

Getting killed repeatedly on screen plays was befuddling. If we never get pressure on the qb with our pass rush, our d-linemen should know that something is up when they get past their blocker.

Oh yeah I forgot good quarterbacks never get their **** pushed in by good Ds

We sucked so hard against teddy he was setting career marks against us... Teams from the athletic conference matched him up better

We had limited moves. We brought the safety down a number of times. Early on, it was effective. When Louisville countered, we had nothing prepared for that counter or were unwilling/unable to adjust on the spot.

As a comparison to battle, we operated as if we were standing in military lines - us in white and Louisville as the redcoats - waiting our turn to fight "honorably." In the meantime, our opponents have moved on to modern warfare and employ guerrilla tactics. For those who have messaged me asking for a breakdown, that's about the best I can muster up at this point.

seems like both my teams(raiders) cant cover a ******* screen pass......****** football for me since 02

That's the only blitz he has that actually works. It actually is pretty successful most of the time he runs it. It's not a blitz you can run all the time though. Can't really run it against anything but 21 personnel.
