Quick Update: he was competing for playing time this year and it looked like he had the upper hand on Antonio Crawford, but he injured his ankle in fall practice so that really set him back.

He is looking good on the scout team and has bulked up a good amount. Look for him to be a factor next season

I agree, we will need a bunch of players to grow up this off-season including McCord. A healthy Porter (laughter all around) and Quality JUCO DT and/or DE could turn this around quicker.
 
really don't need anyone bulking up a good amount too quick. hopefully he's focusing as much on staying flexible and quick.

If we could get a couple good JuCo DL to come in and contribute for us along with our current freshmen/sophomore DL to take the next step next year could be really good for us.

I don't think so. You still need to rotate 7-8 guys through that line, and those guys, at a minimum, should be solid. We still need 2 years to be where we should be IMO.
 
i agree. players have repeatedly told me that larry is good. even antonio as well

No ****, we're only speaking improvement and making things better quicker.

Only speaking on how we can get some improvement faster.
 
Larry Hope is going to make a LOT of guys eat crow. Nearly everyone said this cat wasn't worthy of a scholarship.
 
^from a very amateur recruit follower/ highlight tape watcher guy (me) his tape always looked good though.

What you put on tape doesn't lie right?

I doubt the approach will be radically different, but I think we'll see fewer coverages busts, and guys playing faster with more confidence.
 
**** i had crawford and hope over howard at the corner position... I think Crawford will end up being a beast for us...
