chadfordinsider Shane Larkin going to test as best athlete here. No. 1 Max vert jump. No. 1 sprint. No. 4 lane agility.

That's not all: Larkin, from Miami (Fla.), also has turned out a combine-best sprint time and did 34.5-inch leap from a dead standstill. Only Cody Zeller had a better standing vertical.

Really happy things are going well for Shane at the combine. I hope he keeps blowing up in his workouts for the teams as well

Shane's interview skills and athletic talent is going to ensure that he is picked in the first round. You cannot and should not deprive a guy with so much talent from reaching his ultimate goal of playing in the NBA and becoming a paid professional. I was originally disappointed that he declared for the draft, but now that I hear that he's doing so well at the combine, I am happy for him and his family. It was truly the right decision for him.

I happen to tune in the the combine when they were featuring him, said he was flat out the best athlete there and one of the best in a decade. That's stunning and not surprising at the same time, we all know how explosive he is. But still, he's going in the first round, no question now.

I admit to being torn between the bummer over his leaving (early) and happiness for him putting up incredible numbers in the combine (thinking it somehow reflects well on U basketball yet not sure how that translates to more talent being attracted to the program). Still, so proud of him.

I dont think anyone wanted to deprive the guy of his ultimate goal. I think we would have just liked him back for 1 more year for our own selfish reasons. Think we are all very proud and happy for Shane and know he will continue to rep The U with style and class at the next level.
