Kickoff and punt coverage

Question for those than understand special teams:

For the first time this year, I was nervous about kickoffs and punt returns, since they had several long run backs. What happened? Were they that good? Did they do something different we hadnt seen? Personnel? Blown coverages?

Jake didn't seem to be pinning it next to the pylon with great hang time like usual.... (that's my observation)
