Kicking Game

So reading this PBP article about Spring football, I was wondering everyone's thoughts and concerns on the kicking/punting situation as it stands today. I haven't seen too much recent discussion on the matter.

From the article:
MATT GOUDIS, punter-kicker: The Hurricanes’ biggest losses were in the kicking game where both punter Dalton Botts and kicker Jake Wieclaw must be replaced. Goudis will get a crack to fill one job, if not both. Goudis has never attempted a place kick and his one punt — a low-hanging 37-yarder that was returned 28 yards in the Georgia Tech game — was not memorable. This could end up being a major area of concern. -

I do not know too much about Goudis, so I was wondering if this is an area that could potentially cost us a game or two this upcoming season.

Golden handles special teams and yes it always a concern.who that Jake would work out so well with Bosher leaving...its a mental game we all know they can kick and punt...Al golden works magic with his coaching skills...

on the other hand, our kick and punt coverage will be sick this year with the incoming studs and guys looking to make a statement...

Pretty sure that Austin Barnard will be the punter

Really hope you're right. I'd be very concerned about Goudis having to pull triple duty. This has the potential to be a very special season, and as the OP noted, the kicking game could and probably will be the difference between a few wins and losses.
