Keyone “Lyghtz Out” Jenkins, QB ‘23

Kid looks like if he keeps developing could be a problem. I like he’s already 6’0 , me personally like my QB 6’2-6’6 weight will come with the height. Where do you think he will end up ranking top 10 QB in his class ?

Hard to say. Jenkins still has a lot of upside left. He had a good feel for the game when I watched him, good hands and overall playmaking instincts. Better prospect than Zion Turner IMO.

I like his live arm and footwork. Could use some polishing but thats to be expected from a sophomore. This kid is one to watch.

SPECIAL. Been a winner since he first laced 'em up. I used to coach an older age group at Sherbondy Park(Opa Locka Hurricanes)when he was about 9, 10 years old. Lights Out has always been an appropriate nickname. Real Opa Locka kid who should be really receptive to the idea of being a Cane. Recruit him yesterday. I've said it before, even if Keyone doesn't grow another inch or gain a meaningful ounce while in HS, he's still a 1000% take. If that happens, we're still looking at Tutu 2.0...

Impressed me last year as a freshman. Has a nice arm even though he was small. Hope he gets some good private qb coaching and strength and conditioning for the next 2 years.

Will be a group of 5 qb at worst

That’s one of the things I like about him; he’s a natural. He hasn’t been coached by Quincy Avery since he was 6. He’s got a ton of untapped potential with better coaching and an understanding of the nuances of the position. Still feel like he does subtle things to manipulate defenders already.

He is small. That needs to be a focus along with footwork and improving his release.

If he works at it, I see a dynamic playmaker who has potential to be a dual threat dynamo.
