I’ll admit it. I thought it was a “nepotism” hire. I was wrong and I’m here to capitulate.

The receivers are REALLY well-coached. Polished, patient, excellent feel for the game, hands catchers, blockers, and very productive.

The improvement from Horton is jarring. We have 3 kids on the Biletnikoff list, and #2 might be the best of the bunch.

I really can’t say enough about how good the receivers look. It’s such a professional looking organization and so great to see. You can tell these kids are so well schooled, every snap, everyone is on the same page.

My flowers tonight go to Coach Beard. He’s got a room full of talent but you can tell these kids are all fully bought in and they have received excellent technical coaching.

one other thing: they block, too. those outside screens are working better than they ever have.

Co-sign

Beard has exceeded my expectations on the recruiting trail too

I’m happily eating crow

Solid OP as usual but I will play devils advocate

7 is going to outwork everyone and find a way to be a dude wherever he ends up. Low key- he may be my favorite cane ever for many reasons.

3 has matured greatly in a way I wasn’t sure he was capable but he still makes air head plays now and and then.

The WRs are very good but is it because they are coached up or because we recruit/NIL at a high level and Cam makes everyone look better than they are?

I think its probably somewhere in the middle.. Cam would definitely make most receivers look better than they probably are... However i think our WR's were good last year too but our abysmal QBs, sorry TVD & Emory, they never got a chance to shine anywhere near even an avg level... outside of X being fed 24/7

I think just the way the guys run routes and catch the ball on the move shows the coaching at a high level. Obviously you need the right pieces. Horton is prime example of being coached up. He looks seasoned. I'm confident we havent had YAC like this ever in our history.

I was critical of the hire b/c of his 1st stint here, but this 2nd go round has been amazing thus far.
His first stint was good too.

Herb waters, Rashawn Scott and Stacy coley all had good years in 2015, each over 600 yards. Plus he recruited a talented class I thought .

Either way right now, he’s no doubt one of the best hires Miami has had. The work he’s done with our receivers the last 2 seasons is incredible
