Kevin Austin Jr.

Always did seem to be confusion on Austin...Does he want us? Do we want him? Is offer commitable.

I thought he and Thornton were close, Thornton better speed and a Booker T. kid...With him out of the picture, I would make it very clear to Austin we want him, I have no idea if UM has done that or not.

He's a take, but UM may only want Thornton or Marshall if they are taking a 4th WR is maybe the best way to put it? Or kid just flat out wants ND over UM. Like I said no one ever cleared that up.

Is there such thing as an offer to which you cannot commit?

If I'm not mistaken, the last thing Pete said, and I'm paraphrasing, was that in terms of interest, he was not reciprocating on the same level.

Not coming.

There is in the ****** land of recruiting. They've invented all kinds of fake **** that doesn't really exist such as the "uncommitable offer."

I'd say no...But there are tons of times we get a headline or an article that UM has offered (Pete reported on A.Pierre with an article on this site, just one for instance), but then within the next few weeks has told us Joyner is only LB they are taking, and now has changed that to Joyner or Louis and the most recent "they may take both"...

Austin didn't bother showing up to Paradise. He's a small quaint private school kind of guy. Not so sure he feels like he fits in with some of the goons on the UM club. He reminds me a little of Carlton from Fresh Prince.

didnt seem like much confusion. pete pretty clearly said that Miami was interested but he never showed much interest back in return.

ND

No, hasn't been like that at all...Been to UM many times and Pete and others have at times said "he can/can't commit right now"..."He is/isn't a take right now".

Maybe you are right and that's what Pete's final answer was and I missed it, but certainly was gray much of spring/early summer on whether or not he can commit.

Uh, that's how 85% of Bama's "offers" work

Kid better join the storm while he can don't come running back after we have this good season and you see ND look pathetic.

Next it'll be the "female ******", amiright?

Chise, RVA Cane and myself (as attorneys) believe Austin heads to ND. I say "follow the visits" and Austin was MIA from Paradise.

That's one of the purposes of Paradise, i.e. To cut out all the BS. You in or out? I don't mind. I kinda like it. It's much better to know if they are serious or not. We ain't got time to play that Golden / UF soft recruiting type bs chit... that's how you get burnt or get left recruiting "fringe" recruits that ultimately flake out.

I never got the feeling that we made him much of a priority.

ND has from the start.

Like I said..kid wants/wanted to be a Cane doubt there's anything/anyone stopping him.

But kids been all about Notre Dump and not shown a whole lot of interest in Miami.
