With Notre Dame coming to the Rock on Labor Day Weekend, the Hurricanes know they need to beef up their front. The staff wasted no time in arranging a visit for former five-star recruit and Kentucky transfer DT Keeshawn Silver.



The 6-foot-4, 336-pound behemoth is scheduled to visit Miami tomorrow, December 11th. He's visiting the Florida Gators today, and he has plans to visit USC on Thursday. He will conclude his visits with a stop at Michigan on Friday and...

Yes. Spend the money on this one. He doesn't have eye popping states but he is a gap filler and pushes the run outside for our line backers to make plays. Oops, maybe that's a bad idea.

Stats don't matter or tell the story at all with this position. You need at least one or two of these guys for depth on your Dline always. Takes up the blockers for the Linebackers and helps with the defense against the run.

Elite DTs abd CBs are tough to come by in the portal. This is the biggest portal oppty signing for Mario since he's been here. If needed, he should overpay for this guy.

This is an area where I bring in multiple guys in HS if they meet certain height/weight/athletic marks. If we had 2-3 guys like this, it would unlock new formations that we just can’t do right now without exposing ourselves.

Hopefully the figure out how to line up and shift the front to match the offensive alignment. Even if he eats 2 blocks every time we're still out-leveraged many times this year.
