Shavers had 12 tackles this year. That’s less than Chase Smith had

That PFF ranking thing really got people ****ed up
 
We really need to hit on all linebackers and safeties this cycle. Wishful thinking that they've played over 1000 snaps with great instincts and athleticism at the actual position(s) and if they do play multiple positions that they have the mental capacity to digest the whole defense and urgency to pay attention to detail and be the quarterbacks of the defense like a Denzel, Shaq, Jay Higgins(iowa) Peyton Wilson(nc st)... Earl Thomas (texas) Budda Baker(Washington) Rayshawn Jenkins, Kam Kinchens.

How much did Popo Aguirre have ? hes slotted to start... let me hear it.

The 12 was solo tackles, Vince had 25 tackles (he didnt start the whole year). You would compare him to our other freshman lbs

Nah me saying that wasn’t a shot at Shavers at all

Kid looks good. But remember when that PFF thing got posted people that never saw him play went nuts

I’d take him. But **** in this defense last year he probably wouldn’t have done anything. Would have sat the bench probably and even Popo looked like he had never played before at times

Maybe with the new DC we could get him to come back and actually get on a good defense here?

Idk if there was any ill will there or not though you would know better than me

These are all of the Dade County LBs we have signed going all the way back to 2010. Notice a theme? You can probably throw the Broward signees in there too honestly, and it’d be consistent. Guys like Huff, and I’m sure I’m forgetting a few more but why is our hit rate so ridiculously low with these guys? Can anyone answer that? I mean I know the answer, but what do you all think?

- Miami will continue its aggressive pursuit of CB J'Vari Flowers (Northwestern) after his reclassification to the Class of '25. His speed is elite at corner and he's an instant-impact returner. The timing of his reclassification is not ideal, as Miami just invested heavily in overhauling its secondary with transfers. But they recognize Flowers's unique talent and want him to be a Hurricane. This battle is just beginning.

“Hearing Positive FSU buzz with top LB target Karon Maycock. FSU hosted him for a Junior Day recently and I'm hearing there is very positive communication between the two sides. Maycock has been a top target for quite some time for the 'Noles. A decision may not be far off as well. I'll let you guys know if I hear anything more.”

Also says he thinks a decision could come in the very near future.
