Kansas State: What I expect from Fisch and Morris

1. Stepping INTO pressure or the pocket

I have yet to see Morris buy his receivers that extra tick with a confident step into the pocket. He usually just gets the ball out of his hands or flushes outside of the pocket. If he cannot step into pressure tomorrow, we lose.

2. Yards after the catch

If Fisch doesn't put Morris in the position to complete at least 6 crossing routes - shallow or otherwise - I guarantee we will lose the game. (And, no, square ins, slants and quick ins do not count as crossing routes.) If he doesn't average at least 6 yards/attempt tomorrow, I think we lose by double digits. I hope I'm forced to eat crow.

I need to see our WRs/TEs/RBs running across the face of their underneath coverages. If Fisch puts Morris in the position to do so and Morris can take a little off the ball so his guys can actually be lead and keep running, we're going to score 30 points.

3. Stay with the run game a little more and force KState to lean forward for the play action

If those LBs are comfortable enough that they're not jumping forward toward the running game, we lose tomorrow. I cannot imagine this as a game where we simply do not use the middle of the field, yet win.

He'll throw deep, be picked off and everyone here will say we should just have taken what the defense gave us underneath and side to side.

Whatever happens, the board will know better.

I basically am looking for all the wrinkles to the basic O that we saw last week. Other than the hurry up, he didn't give them much to scout. I see the TEs very involved opening the middle of the field, and deeper routes by the receivers.

Remember most teams make their Biggest jump from week one to week two as far as improvement so we should see our boys play like Men and get all in Kansas St's *** !!! Let's go Canes !!!

"Morris can take a little off the ball so his guys can actually be lead and keep running"

I'll be surprised if we don't see this. I noticed last week how our receivers were able to make catches in stride vs the behind them and/or over their head suicide catches of the last few years.

Other than a few throws in the dirt - I was impressed with SM's ability to help his receivers compete. It's refreshing.

1. You never teach a QB to step into pressure which equals to holding the ball. Morris is doing the correct thing by getting the ball out his hand. Once that 2 1/2 secs tick off all QBs need to find a place to put the football. He put the ball in the dirt or use their feet to make a play. Coach Golden wants Morris to run more.

2. We had deep routes all game but Morris checked down to the open man. This offense is tough to defend unless you can play press man. Not many teams can play press man and not give up big plays.

3. We will not see a heavy run attack until Henderson is fully back. We are a fast break high tempo offense

Here's some easy yards after catch- throw a **** bomb and let someone fast go get it and run it in. Ya basta con this dink and dunk mierda!
When Whipple subscribed to this type of philosophy it generally didn't end well and our fans crucified him for it. We do need to stretch the field occasionally but we also should take what the defense is giving us.

kstate is going to play defense just like bc.

Expect more of the same. More misdirection.

I would imagine they're going to key on Duke a little but when he's in the game which could open up things down field. I would also imagine they're going to try and change things up from a defensive scheme that gave up 33 pts, not counting the defensive TD.

i predict their defense will be ALL over the bubble screens...**** Fisch ran that to death last week...hopefully it was a set up....

i want to run the ball....but still push the tempo.....we know how to work Arthur Brown...(misdirection)...

Snyder is a good coach...it wont be as simple as we did Bc's defense...their a little bit more athletic.....

want to see Cleveland and Walford get some more pass attempts..last week wasnt that bad i think they had about 8 targets...wanna see 10 to those guys....

1. You step into the pocket. You're trolling.

2. Uh huh.

3. Yes, clearly the offense is based on Seantrel Henderson.
