What I found interesting along with encouraging is hearing that Coach D is still installing some new defensive schemes. I find this encouraging because maybe we are finally at a point mentally for Coach D to move from the more vanilla bend but don't break defense into more of what he wanted to run all along. Hear Coach D the other day said that overall he is much more impressed by the defensive over this year and that its night and day from what he had last season is a reason to be more optimistic about that side of the ball. I know we are still far away from being a dominant defense but if we are able to install and learn more advanced defensive schemes, I would like to think that the defense FBI is increase which can only lead to more positive play in the near future.
