Anyone have the ITU update for this kid? Apparently visiting this weekend for the camp. DLinemen for Georgia so clearly intriguing, i just don't know anything about him or if its even something that is realistic or worth looking into.

Let my ITU subscription run out and won't renew until January, but here's Pete's article on him last month:

Thanks 3000...My bad guess i didnt go down far enough and now i remember this article. Guess if hes coming on his own dime this weekend thats gotta be a good sign. I like his read and react. 6'3 260 as a junior in HS definitely can project to a Dtackle for us down the line.

No problem. Yeah, the kid has good size but I would prefer that we keep him at DE if at all possible because I feel like we need a little more size and strength at DE. Would also be nice to stockpile bigger DE's for those situations where the coaches want to switch things up and play a little 3-4...

Coming down for the weekend to see the campus and attend the camp, but will not participate because his coach told him not to due to fear of injury.

Weak

Not on the kid, but the coach. Shameful attitude

Weak coaching. Go to camp but don't participate to make yourself better. Idiot.

From the film, the guy has great pursuit, never gives up on the play. That's a player we can definitely use on D.

Wow this coach is teaching his players bad character traits. What happens if the team has a bad year an Jones tell him hey coach i don't want to risk getting hurt before i go to college and since we won't make the playoffs I am not going to practice or play the rest of the year.

Also i thought the purpose of playing high school ball was to get a scholarship and part of making that offer commitable was camping and competing especially at a school that offered a scholarship an your 1st one to boot.

I bet if it was UGA or BAMA that coach would say a word about Jones participating in drills. i am thinking Jones gets down here and participates once he sees the other kids competing. Its funny how his coach didn't have an issue with Jones participating in Rivals Camp Series in Atlanta, but takes issue with Jones working out for UM. I call on the Coach.

Some coaches don't understand he has the same chance of getting injured at a camp or playing pickup basketball for three hours or football with his boys. If the kid wants to compete let him. If the kid doesn't want to compete an just wants to use it as an unofficial, then just come out and say that. If the latter, the coach probably sees it better that he get bashed instead of his player.

Had a great visit and has UM firmly in his top group per CS. An is freinds with Young so that Helps UM. However I was under the impression if the visit was great he would commit to UM. So I wondering now what he didn't like or what may have given him cause to pause.

UM was his first offer and that supposedly means alot to him since believed in him first and academics are key for him and his family also. Lets see how this plays out, I think the distance factor maybe playing a small part here.

If he commits we would have 3 DTs This claas

Are we still in it for Thomas Holley, Chad Thomas, Khairi Clark, and Travonte Valentine?

I just havent heard much lately regarding those guys. What's the chances we still land 2 of the above?

Let the kid take his time in the decision he may want to see other schools. Still early to make a big decision.
