Just wondering, did Ben Jones earn the RT job?

or was this an injury situation? But in watching the second half, he got the majority of the snaps during the comeback at RT? He's always been a good athlete with quick feet( I know some who think he was a better Dline prospect back in high school)

Either way, it's great to have quality depth upfront

Rewatched a lot of plays in the game to look at the OL and he looked solid throughout.

He deserves consideration to keep that position.

The article in the Miami Herald said that Flowers and maybe Hendy were a bit nicked. Then again, Susan Degnan maybe makes stuff up sometimes

I listened to the game on 560 and it sounded like the DE on that side was abusing Flowers. I didn't watch the game so I can't speak to it but that may be why Jones got the reps. They even mentioned bringing SMFH in to spell him but clearly he didn't

Not sure if he earned the start outright, but watching him in the 4th he more than held his own. Would be nice to have him contribute after all this time not doing ****.

So, is it safe to give Kehoe some love?

Feliciano has developed into a monster. Ben Jones was clearly ready to contribute despite being buried on the depth chart. We flat out beat their *** up front.

Amirite?

Should mention Lewis as well.

I heard coach Golden talking about this after the game. This time she´s right...

That being said, congrats to Ben Jones to be positive and find a way to contribute when called.

Some fans just hate Kehoe too much to give him credit it seems. I think our Oline has definitely improved this season from last. Feliciano and Linder may be two 1st team ACC players. Ben Jones was great yesterday. Mcdermott has been solid. I don't know what else people want to see.

the main knock on kehoe was he got lazy with recruiting and went for easy takes (actually something that permeated the last staff he was on because of our success). As long as we have guys like Golden who have a hunter mentality to recruiting. And we dont get any super kehoe project specials like kids from who kows where we should be ok.

Yes I am aware of the recruiting venom but Kehoe has taken a beating here especially since our OL underperformed last year.

It was a good day for his group yesterday.

Great day for the OL, they held up against the blitz great and opened lanes for the RB's.

That's partly true and partly because the announcers don't really know **** about football. That DE was lining up wide and going straight up the field. Morris was taking 24 step drops and refusing to step into the pocket. A Tackle will look A LOT better when the QB is able to shuffle forward a couple steps.

Seantrel said his left side has gotten stronger since recovering from the back surgery. We have a good "problem" at the tackle spots.
