I've met Coach D, and he's a good guy. Im just like most here, anyone that mishandles my baby is on the automatic shytlist, but this guy is a good person with a family, and does not deserve the personal beatdowns like if he's george zimmerman or something. Just a thought...

I'm sure he's a swell guy, makes a mean burger, returns all his neighbors tools in a timely fashion, never goes slow in the left lane, and always flushes after the first **** - but unfortunately for him he's in a career that is heavily performance-based. He's shattering school records for some of the worst defenses in Miami history in the last 30 years.

He might be a great guy, but he's a terrible defensive coordinator. And we go to the games on Saturdays to watch football, not Donofrio play catch with his son.

He doesn't read the message boards so does it matter.

This is what happens when your fan base cares about their "baby" and they are tired of being irrelevant. They want results, they want to do better against Duke and VT, do you blame them? Do you blame them for not doing SHlT in college football since 2003?

We have a relationship with our baby (that sounded weird) or our program. We support our program above all. Coaches will come and go, but our program always remains.

In coaching nothings personal, you either get results or you don't. If you aren't getting results it's time for you to leave.

Some perspective

There was a lack of evidence to prove Zimmerman was guilty

Doh'nofrio is on camera over and over committing crimes against the []_[]

Big difference

Agree. I just think it would be best for Al to cut ties with Mark professionally and move on. If we end the season as many fear (losing out) then he may not have a choice. The environment is already toxic and with every press article talking about their relationship, more and more fans, alumni and boosters will be questioning Al's commitment and loyalty to the program. When you sign on to become the Head Coach at a major DI program, you don't get divided loyalties. Keeping friends on the payroll isn't a luxury...unless of course you win.

It isn't show family. Its show business.

For the good of the program going forward - for not only the other coaches and players but himself as well - I think Al needs to cut D'onofrio loose.

There are almost no personal attacks I've seen

Saying he is a ****forbrains at his job is not personal

I think that's OP's point, though. The personal stuff (e.g. personal insults) is unnecessary.

Oh, I agree. Some of us have different way of venting frustration however, and revert to attacking the person instead of the terrible job they have done.
