First off, I thought it was a great crowd and environment. It honestly felt more engaging and loud than the FSU game. My wife is 8 months pregnant, but I could not miss Cams last game at home.

So I’ll start with Cam and the offense. Not his best game, but it was very encouraging to see him take some more of the check downs. Felt like he really took what the defense gave him. Something we truly needed on offense was to lean on the run, especially with a lead. That’s the way this team is built and we need to cash on that.

In person it was hard to see a lot of the penalties. But it felt like some 50/50 calls really stalled out our offense. I wouldn’t say it was a down performance, but the game flow just took some winds out of the sails. The x fumble hurt. Was that his first of his career? Tough timing for that. As well, we got pinned deep in our territory a few times. It felt like in what was a tight game at the moment, we went more conservative given the score and field position. That I’m okay with. Not the most exciting 35 points, but it was kind of an offensive flow and performance we needed.

Defense. 7 points. Under 200 yards. Idc who it’s against, I’ll take it every day. I couldn’t stop thinking at 20-14, the defense was going to give up a touchdown. Especially in tough field position. I was waiting for it. But they kept clamping down. I thought this might have been the best performance from the secondary. Their one touchdown looked like it was alderman that couldn’t keep up with a crosser. From my view, almost all of their success came against the LB. Putting backs and guys on the edge vs a backer. The dline obviously played a great game. Felt like we finally got critical negative plays at important times. For 6+ games, our dline was a tick late and it burned us. They were not today. Can’t not credit Powell for his game today. He was everywhere

10 wins is a big deal. Winning is hard. Ask any team any week. It’s not perfect, but it’s successful. As a team, this was kind of a game I think we needed. Strong defense, critical stops, efficient pass game, and explosive run game. We enter the last week of the season with everything still in front of us. We should be happy about that.

Also, a lot of young guys stepping up was awesome to see. Day is going to be a player.

Obviously, things to clean up. Couple ugly turnovers on offense. Couple bad drops from guys that don’t normal drop balls. Need to start quicker. We let them hang around to long. Some ugly penalties.

I’ll never be upset after a loss. 1-0 every week. Time to move on to Cuse. It’s a must win. No questions asked. Go Canes.

Well, it’s CIS, you aren’t allowed to ask questions. So there.

Good stuff.

Agreed, atmosphere was great. Piped in music was almost too loud at times.

The three minute timeouts were super annoying. TV revenue drives everything.

Offense was just a tick off for several drives. I will chalk it up to the bye week. But they still gained 500 yards, so if that’s their off game then I will take it.

Young guns showed out. Lyle, Day, Pruitt, Scott, and Markeith. Love the future.

Teams have just stopped throwing to OJ. Stud.

The hop step by George on his TD was straight filthy. Go back and watch again. He left two guys just standing there not knowing what to do.

Future is bright. There was a lot of smiles and excitement after the game. You can tell this is a close group of unselfish kids. That’s what it takes to build a championship team.
