Love Dorsett, but I don't think he's the type of guy who will excel with Ryan Williams.
The guy that I expect to take a huge step forward (if he keeps his head on straight) is Rashawn Scott.

Good point. I don't think Williams has the arm to take advantage of Dorsett's speed unless its short passes where Dorsett has some room to run.

And that is kinda the problem with Dorsett. He hasn't shown that he is precise or explosive out of his breaks. Also while very fast, it seems to take him a split second longer than you would expect to get to top speed. His initial burst while not slow by any means just isnt that of a game breaker.

Like the Rashawn Scott call. But I think although Dorsett will not be Williams primary target, he will be a huge weapon stretching the field. I think Warlord, Sandland, and even hopefully even Standish will be an integral part of Williams' game which will open it up over the top. we need a cognizant game manager to spread it even. Nice touch on the 45 yarder over the top to Herb @4:45...

Williams or Olsen will be upgrades all around. The throw vs NC St last year happens once in a lifetime. Just not practical.

That is a problem more so than Williams lack of a cannon. If Philip has to be 60 yards downfield to get open, Williams has no chance. You don't need a rocket. Steve Walsh had a noodle arm and it didn't seem to hamper him in college. If the read tells Williams the route is open, I'm confident he can get the ball there. We just aren't going to see the scrambling late 60 yard laser - thank god. If Williams shows he can go through his progressions, many people are going to be surprised how effective he can be. The deep ball will not be gone. It's going to be back in proper perspective, IMO.
