Canes have landed a player from Miami-Dade in the past four years

Carlos Lequerica
Herick Hernandez
Max Galvin
Cian Copeland

Miami-Dade pipeline has been very solid for Miami. Need to continue to hit the JUCO ranks in my opinion. Tons of good players are in JUCO and they are ready to play

Like many folks who grew up in Miami, attended Miami Dade CC, North campus to be specific. Lots of great players and coaches from the three Miami-Dade baseball programs (all 3 campuses had their own athletic programs) and as a student I remember watching Dade-North scrimmaging vs Ron Fraser's UM teams, and they held their own with players like Oddie McDowell and John Cangelosi, who later played in the majors, plus Javier Velazquez who later played on UM's first national champion team. Their coach was Deme Manieri, whose son later coached at ND and LSU. Lots of MLB stars who played on the Miami-Dade teams.

"Was that back in the 1900's" - my 8 year old if I said this to him.

Looking at the Miami-Dade roster, their coaches are more qualified than what we have at UM. Lol.

It sure was back in that other century.
It's too bad Miami-Dade condensed their programs from 3 to 1.
For awhile, Dade-North and Dade-South would take turns dominating their region
every other year.
So many good players like Bucky Dent, Mike Piazza, Oddie McDowell, Steve Carlton, etc.
