Walnut (Calif.) Mt. San Antonio Community College OG Visesio Salt says he's planning to take a Cane visit with teammate Koliniasi Leota in early December.
"We're going to visit," said Salt, who also is Leota's roommate. "I've been talking to Miami coaches - coach (Jethro) Franklin. He wants us to come out."
Salt's waiting on a Cane offer, saying "I hope I'll get one."
So far he lists offers from Utah and Oregon State.
Salt, who attended high school in Utah, says where Miami fits into his recruiting picture will hinge on his visit there.
He lists no frontrunners right now.
"I want to come check it out and go from there," Salt said.
Of what he knows about UM's program, Salt said. "I know they have a good football program and good academics. I want to see it for myself. I'll come out there and check out everything for myself."
Salt will be graduating in December and says what he's looking for in a college is "just a good academic program and a team that can get me to the next level."
