"#1 JUCO DE Marcus Hardison eyeing Canes

Says he would like to come home to play for Canes. Staff is gearing up to make a move. Tough battle ahead as they are late to the party. National JUCO signing day is just weeks away. Not much time to get him down for a visit. Will keep you updated..."

listed at 6'4" 290 on Rivals...and he lines up at DT a lot, so im guessing he's a DT.

I mentioned Hardison as a guy we ought to look into in the JUCO thread I made last week. Good to hear the staff may be on him, and even better to hear that the interest might be mutual.

Listed as a DE but alot of those clips hes playing DT

This is exactly what we need. FAP

Holy **** what a defensive class that would be...

Why is the staff just now getting on this kid at a position of need

JUCO guys are really difficult to evaluate, and not just from a physical standpoint.

I think it's more that it's difficult to get them into school. This is a kid that would be a great fit IMO and may give us a chance to actually play some 3-4.

Exactly. So in order to spend time recruiting a kid hard, you have to not only figure out if he can play or not but also if he is worth spending the time on...seems to me like it is just a longer process identifying these kids for a school like Miami. You can see the Kansas States and Ole Misses of the world on these kids earlier because the gamble of spending time on their recruitment isn't as big. Or so I would believe.
