Whatever happened to that JUCO CB from Merced CC who visited a while back? Did the staff ever offer him? Did he sign? Are we looking at any post-NSD signees?

He signed with Colorado State yesterday. Devron Davis.

Bummer...I wonder if we ever offered him...well, good luck to him. I gradated from Merced High back in the early 90's. It was kinda cool that we were interested in a kid from my old stomping grounds. Merced HS produced a lot of football talent back in the day (nothing like some of these S. Florida HSs though)...That JUCO he attended wasn't exactly known for its football back then though. No idea how it is now.

Bummer...I wonder if we ever offered him...well, good luck to him. I gradated from Merced High back in the early 90's. It was kinda cool that we were interested in a kid from my old stomping grounds. I know we didn't offer him back when he was chomping at the bit to commit. No idea if we did or not after Byrd flipped. But He would have been pretty nice for depth behind Corn and Sheldrick. Who knows, maybe CMR has another JUCO kid in mind somewhere.

Yeah, and even thought there's no way anyone would say CSU is on par with UM he might look at the caliber of talent UM is bringing in and see his chance to develop as a starter; his path to the NFL being at a lessor school...who knows...good luck to him though.

He got offered the day after he publicly said he would commit if he was offered and he didnt!

One of my nephews got letters from Kansas for basketball (signed by Danny Manning). Ended up going to Central Methodist.

I don't think many fans understand how many letters go out so that kids then claim "hearing from" etc.

He was never Offered!! He wanted to be a Cane! His father is from Miami! How do I know this u may ask?? He and His father are my family!
