Dillard is a pipeline school for Auburn since like the late 80s.
Apparently the grades at that school is awhile lot better as their sports have fell down. Their kids now have good academic standings

he's a basketball convert, reminds me a ton of D-Jax

Wright reminds you of D. Jackson? I think that at this stage Wright is stronger and more physical than D.Jax was. Wright also has a much better understanding on how to use his hands to control the OL which makes him much better against the run at this point in his career. Both are naturals and excellent athletes but at this point D.Jax was/is a faster and twitchier speed rusher while Wright, I feel is a much more complete and polished player. I am a huge D.Jax fan and think he is going to really break out this year. As far as playing style is concerned I think Calais Campbell is a more accurate comparison right now IMO

SEC Front-Runner for 2017 Fort Lauderdale-Based Defensive End Jordan Wright? - Football Recruiting - Scout

Is there a leader in the clubhouse for 2017 Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) Dillard defensive end, Jordan Wright? The 6-foot-5, 230-pound Wright is inching closer to 20 scholarship offers on the recruiting trail.

Senior-to-be edge rusher Jordan Wright has been fielding significant interest from Dan Mullen and Mississippi State for a number of weeks, but it was on Tuesday when the SEC school pulled the trigger and joined the near 20 additional schools that have presented him with scholarship offers.

Wright, a dual-sport star out of Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) Dillard that's constructed quite the basketball career as well, is a fast-rising football prospect that checks in with intriguing size at nearly 6-foot-5, 230 pounds.

"They have a real good program, and the coaches really take care of their players as well, which is a good thing," Wright said. "They've been showing interest for a month now, and I've been talking with (secondary) coach (Terrell) Buckley and the defensive coordinator (Peter Sirmon).

"They wanted to get me up for the spring game when we first started talking, but I couldn't make it."

Wright, who's tabbed as a three-star prospect and the nation's 44th-ranked defensive end on Scout, recently made the drive over to the University of Miami (Fl)'s spring game as well. Wright's teammate, Jonathan Ford, is a four-star defensive lineman out of the 2017 class that's already made a commitment to Mark Richt's coaching staff.

"Miami is a real good program," Wright said. "You can tell they have a whole new coaching staff because everything is starting to change around. They said they would love to have me there, but they've been talking more about education than football."

The Syracuse Orangemen recently dipped into Dillard High to sign a pair of 2016 prospects, including Kenneth Ruff, who is also one of Wright's cousins.
"The coaching staff and I have a good relationship and bond," Wright said. "We talk to each other everyday. They also have my cousin up there, so that's a good thing. I speak with (secondary coach) Nick Monroe."

Schools could get shuffled around with National Signing Day still nearly 10 months down the road, but the program that's sitting towards the very top is one that offered less than 24 hours ago.

"Right now, it would probably be Mississippi State," Wright said when asked if he had a top school.

Wright has no timeline for his college decision.
