****, shown Futch some love! Say what you want, he's just as good as some guys we got playing now. Why are we so quick to bash the cats that are gone? Everybody can't be Ray & Ed!!

No he isn't... He wouldn't be the 6 linebacker in the 2 deep... In 2010 Cornelius, Gaines and Kelvin Cain saw the field over him as true freshmen... Kelvin Cain performance against Duke in 09 is better than anything Futch has ever done and the kid is like 4th string DE now (mistake imo), Gaines was better than Futch as sophmore and is definitely better now... Cornelious is better than that guy as well... We criticized all those guys but at least they contribute to the team... I'm happy for Armbuster as well... He contributes and we all know Perryman is a beast... We have DE that plays linebacker better than Futch...

Futch was a total bust when he was here. Anybody saying otherwise, is delusional. He was the poster boy for the kind of soft, overrated player that Randy Shannon seemed obsessed to recruit. I wish him well, but lets not act like he made some kind of contribution to the program when he didn't. All of a sudden, he is some expert on who can play defense and who can't. Why didn't he perform when he had his opportunity is what I'm saying.

Man, that was a great night.

Nights like that have been way to ******* far in between for a program like this.

Why? No one is attacking him as a person. He made 30 total tackles in 4 years. 30! He was, according to his bio, Ranked the No. 12 player in Florida and the No. 67 player overall by Rivals.com ... Ranked the No. 15 strongside linebacker and the No. 42 player in Florida by Scout.com ... Rated the No. 5 outside linebacker and the No. 77 player overall by ESPN ... Named No. 89 on the PrepStar Top 135 Dream Team ... Ranked No. 11 on the Miami Herald South Florida Top 25.

So, for all of that, he made 30 career tackles. Dude got a full ride, 4 years of free education at a top 50 university. He's a grown *** man, he can take someone calling him a bust, which by definition, he was, on an internet message board.

The only thing I remember from Jordan Futch's time at UM was how hot his mom looked when he signed his LOI.

cant say there wasnt any talent in that family. :quag:

I remember a video some years back of Jordan twirling the pom-poms at a school pep rally. He was really good. So fluid, so talented. I thought he missed his true calling by trying to play LB.

We don't have the yamma-yamma guy on the sidelines anymore....and we could have had Jordan...just think, what could have been....

Matador you're right but if that's the case, don't be so quick to throw stones at others... I mean we only became privy to Futch because of the story that was written by the herald... We do not know what the current players have experienced in their lives... Futch has no place to criticize any of our current players...
