The Buddy System doesn't allow for better coaches to join staffs or diversity. The U turns down a former Player who was more than qualified to better scouting, influence and recruiting. Yet welcomes another Lilly white midwesterner who knows nothing about recruiting the inner city of Miami and Ft. Lauderdale. It's one thing to have AA in administrative rolls, but we need "qualified" AA coaches on this staff that can also relate to kids and families of top SOFL recruits.

We just need good coaches and evaluators. Their race isn’t important at all

Well he's a lily white southerner from Arkansas who knows the new OC's system and will help him implement it. What relates to kids is winning. You watch kids from Ft. Lauderdale and Miami go play in lets say traditionally unsympathetic regions of the country all the time and you think the color of some quality control coach's skin is gonna make a difference? Win some **** games and look good doing it. And if that isn't enough for some kids then drop a bag. That is what relates. The kids who come to Miami apparently like DVD and Cooney and they would even be more effective if the on-field product was sellable. Anyway that comes about is fine by me.
Facts. Dudes acting like he brought some guy in as an on field coach. He’s a **** GA that knows his offense and was successful teaching it. Those sec schools don’t have any problems relating to kids but somehow Miami kids are gonna have a problem with it.

Don't give a **** about the skin color and knowing how to recruit the inner city of Miami. Find dudes that can develop athletes, win games and the kids will start coming here...look a bit further north at cornball Mullen for your example.
