Deal is close to being completed or already completed. Hopefully he can inject some life into that Giants Defense. Will be playing with Antrel Rolle, who I don't believe that they played on the field at the same time here as Beason to my memory redshirted, but they were both on the roster at the same time. NFL :neonu:

I hope he can stay healthy. He is one **** of a LB...please stay healthy and dominate the NFL!

Beason is finished. Dude has played 8 games since 2011. **** he got benched against the Giants last week.

Microfracture surgery is a brutal recovery on top of the other knee surgeries he's had.

He was a monster when he was healthy, but that time is long past.

Also, don't be surprised if he can't pass a physical either. That's no guarantee.

Shame, he was having a great career 'til injuries hit.

He's had an achilles tear and microfracture surgery on his knee.

As a Panthers fan it's a sad day.

Knew this day would come, still very sad. But at this point he's a expensive backup.

As a lowly Giants fan, I welcome anyone with a pulse that can help our defense stop someone, anyone. Now if we could address that offense line, so Eli has some time to think, or open up some running lanes, maybe we could give our defense a break during the game.

Ironic that Blackburns the guy that took his spot in Carolina. If he can do anything its a good addition for the giants who badly need LB help. It's really befuddling whats happened to the Giants as talent wise I see them as a very good team, that offensive line though is in shambles.

Amen. So far the highlights of my season as a giants fan have been this and hoping that they signed Willis, which didn't happen. They have been an organization that typically has a good amount of Miami players either drafter or signed, so this is a good day in my book.

has his play really declined that much or is it a salary thing? because the panthers have stuck with another of their linebackers thomas davis through about 3 ACL tears

Yes his play declined as he has never fully recovered and it's also partially a salary thing, he's a expensive backup. Thomas Davis is a freak of nature and miracle in modern medicine. He barely looks like he had 3 acl tears in two legs.

He played 1 game in 2011, 4 games in 2012 and 2 games in 2013.

In those games he's recorded a grand total of 35 tackles, 1 QB Hurry. He was absolutely murdered in pass coverage in those games too, an area where he thrived prior to 2011.

Sad to see a good player cut down before his prime is up due to injuries, oddly the same fate (different injuries) as another Cane/Panther in Dan Morgan.
