Jobe gone

From all that has been said, really think him qualifying posed a legitimate issue with him coming to UM. Remember that him going up to Conn wasn't just bc he aged out of football, but was equally if not more related to him not having the grades and trying to put him into an environment where he could possibly qualify. UM had set an education plan in place for him to qualify...maybe he didn't follow through and achieve what he needed academically?

Pete said if he doesn't sign in December then we have a shot and quite frankly that was not even a good prediction. If he was committed to us and still didn't sign when he could have then it would have been even more evident he's out the door.

Oh well, any kid that is wavering after being committed or plays games should be dropped immediately. McFarland pulled this **** last year too.

This staff/program is above 1 player.

Gotta feel sorry for Marrero. Kid has never competed in anything more physical than pocket pool, rubix cube, or fighting other reporters to get a question in. Doesn't have that killer instinct. Only way he appeals to these athletes is by flossing his teeth with their pubic hairs.

As far as Jobe is concerned, its sad that most of this board doesn't have the physical tools to be a player on this team. If we did, Jobe would feel his mistake every head to head battle we have with him and make sure to tell him ST says hi every time he's on his ***.

The coaches should have seen this coming man. They got played. Almost feel sorry for them

They did see it coming. It's exactly why the heat has been turned up on Samuel Jr.

Nothing wrong with fighting until the end. I doubt Folden's staff would have made the visit to CT after it became clear Bama was in the driver's seat. More importantly, making Samuel Jr. a priority shows they have a contingency plan in place. If they can close with him and Campbell, this is a terrific DB class, regardless of Jobe.

There is a difference between fighting until the end and wasting your time and this was clear that

So when Frierson was pvssyfooting around with Georgia, Richt and Co. should have just thrown in the towel, huh?

As I said, it was beyond apparent Bama was in control with his recruitment, but he's a talent and you do your best to sell the program and land him. People may not want to hear this, but Bama is going to get theirs. They've sustained so much success with Saban at the helm, that they're going to flip kids, tough shlt.

But your assertion that the staff was played is dogshlt. New DB targets have emerged over the past week because it was clear this scenario was likely coming. IF they can close with at least two of the Campbell, Surtain, Samuel Jr. trio, this loss is minimal.

Comparing Jobe w/ Bama and Frierson situation is dumb. Not even remotely close

Staff should never again allow ST's legacy to be fooled around with by cowards who cannot tell them to their faces they will be playing elsewhere.

Biggest unkept secret ever... but we will have a great DB class regardless, Wish he was a cane but oh well

I qualified that by saying I was sticking with the Bama prediction and that I was only relaying what the staff felt was the case.

I am disgusted by the behaviour of Jobe stringing Miami along. Disgraceful behaviour and a complete utter embarrassmnt to the Grove. Don't come back to thr Grove. Don't come back to Miami. Make your home in Alabama. It's where you belong. Your kind of town. You disgust me.

Pete stop defending yourself to these clowns. We appreciate the information you bring to this site.

I don’t believe the staff felt they had a chance after the meeting with Jobe a couple of days ago. I think that’s the public face they wanted out there for public consumption. I think they had a good idea he was gone. But they just wanted to float a positive public picture.

That’s how it works.

In real life and in business. Experience will teach you that. They were just trying to control the message.

They were the only ones that thought that

Been busy lately... So I haven't spoken on it.

But this is why I stopped talking about Judas months ago, he's another flake that disrespected our staff time & time again.

We did everything we could to convince him Miami was his best option, but he constantly two timed our Coaches.

Asante Samuel & Ty Campbell should've been priorities over him as soon as he went up to Connecticut.

Everybody saying we shouldn't have just dropped him was off imo, Idgaf what type of talent people think he is, he ain't good enough to get away with pulling this type of **** on us.

After Banda went up to see him & he didn't get a full commit from him we should've dropped him that same night.

Instead now it looks like Bama got one over on us & we got egg on our face, but either way this kid was gonna **** us in the end.

Glad he's gone, I really couldn't stand the fact he would get hyped up so much on here but sometimes I just don't feel like arguing lol

Put the full court press on Asante, been saying since October of 2016 that he was the best pure cover Corner in the 18 class & still feel the same. Never was overly impressed with Jobe or Surtain as CB's to be perfectly honest, both are big Safety's.

Exactly. Wish I could upvote this more than once.
