I really wish our coaches would have said eff it and moved on. Sometimes it's best to save face. Everyone semi connected knew this guy was heading to Bama. We should have been on top of this ****.

This should definitely be the last thread we ever see of simple jobe on this site

Aren't they likely brining in the best DB class Miami has had in years? Henderson was going to Miami until he got butt hurt over Rumph getting on him because of how he acted at the all star game. Not to mention how well they have developed the secondary. Rumph and Banda are doing a great job.

Henderson wasnt coming here..it was a similar recruitment to the jobe kid in this thread. Rumph promoted a kid committing to an instate rival as well.
How they thought they had a shot....when a guy like me who just follows recruiting knew this kid was gone months ago..i have no clue. We had guys who saw the kid on ov's at um games...tell us that the kid is going to bama as words of who was with him...We've had others state that they overheard him around the time he committed say he was basically using us as a placeholder but was heading to Bama. Bama guys have always been confident in him coming...yet they had a "shot"..with a kid committed??. Glad this happened the year that we have 50,000 div 1 dbs in the area...and he wasnt a class make or break guy anyway. But all signs have pointed to bama since like the spring.

After you said to us for 6 months when we expected him to flip to "calm down" and "he's coming" and "relax", and "click bait" on other reporter's tweets that said Jobe would flip. Yeah, you called it alright. Perhaps you should stay in YO Lane.

I want to personally thank you canesmang1 for posting this picture. This is but a small glimpse of what UM football is on the cusp of. With what we already have on the roster from 2016 and 2017, plus the JAG purging of the past two years and yet to come, plus the beasts of 2018... we are on the brink of something special, fellas.

I think we are going to look back on the Jobe loss in a year or 2 and see it for the blessing that it truly is. Just like the Henderson, Edwards, Byrd and McFarland misses. Not one UM fan is now regretting having missed on those guys, and we are actually in a better place because they did not sign.

I have a strong suspicion that Jobe would have had trouble staying academically eligible at UM - ****, if he would have even qualified at all. I am also not convinced that Jobe is going to be the All-American at the P5 collegiate level like everyone thinks he will be.

Time will tell, but I think we will look back on this one very gratefully that it ended up this way.

Everything has pretty much been covered in this thread. Couple things to add to. You win and lose in cruiting. Gotta win more than we lose to contend. Things that chap my *** are the disrespect to ST’s legacy. You don’t play around with that ****! The obvious orchestration by the bama coaching staff to have it play out this way. It’s unfortunate that either the punk has no balls or is a puppet. And this isn’t sour grapes as I’d love to have him on the team or would have respected him if he went about the right way. Moving on to the AH group now!
