Bigger question to me is how has he not been yet. That is ridiculous

Not really. It's only been around since 1997 and going into this round there were only 22 players and one coach—Schnelly—who was inducted in 2021.This class gets JJ and Dennis, as well as Chuck Foreman, bringing it to 27 players and three coaches.

Only thing odd is the sporadic nature of the inductions; 1997, 1999, 2008, 2009, 2014, 2017, 2021 and 2023.

The full list will now be:
  • Class of 1997: Jim Dooley, Ted Hendricks, George Mira, Vinny Testaverde
  • Class of 1999: Ottis Anderson, Don Bosseler, Bernie Kosar, Burgess Owens
  • Class of 2008: Edgerrin James, Jim Kelly, Cortez Kennedy, Jim Otto, Gino Torretta
  • Class of 2009: Bennie Blades, Eddie Dunn, Steve Walsh
  • Class of 2014: Jerome Brown, Russell Maryland
  • Class of 2017: Michael Irvin, Ray Lewis, Ed Reed, Warren Sapp, Sean Taylor
  • Class of 2021: Howard Schnellenberger
  • Class of 2023: Dennis Erickson, Chuck Foreman, Jimmy Johnson

Don’t care if it started yesterday, crazy that he’s just getting recognized.

Also strangely slow honoring Chuck Foreman.

" Even though Johnson was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, primarily for his success with the Cowboys, Jones has never put him in the Cowboys’ ring of Honor. "

Jerry Jones is a tool of epic proportions.

Beyond well deserved and it would've looked really bad if Ol' Jerral Wayne Jones or his son had actually rectified their ongoing petty lunacy with that snub and put Jimmy in before we did.

Bro, same thing. I’m hella shocked; I thought this was a foregone conclusion.
I actually thought it was called The Jimmy Johnson Miami Hurricanes Ring of Honor.....& Grill. Coral Gables, Islamorada and a 3rd location coming to Jupiter, FL in the Summer of 2024!

Jokes aside, my brain really created an alternate reality where not only was I sure that Jimmy was already in but that I remembered seeing his name up there at The OB.

Drugs are bad, kids.
