I'm watching Miramir VS St. Thomas and Jermaine is all over the field making plays. This kid could have a freshman year like Denzel had a few years ago. He has everything you look for in a OLB speed, high football I.Q, & an amazing nose for the ball. He has played in a lot of big games and that experience is going to allow him to be ready come fall.

I don't see much of, if any gap between Grace and that other guy. That ain't sour grapes either. Both need to show they can maintain explosiveness as they up the weight but honestly I think Grace is off to a better start.

This kid is going to be special here. He just does everything right.

Also anyone have the highlights from the Grace vs. Male Cheerleader game?

No but I know that he ran for like 29 yards that game:rollcanes:

The other guy would have been more of a factor from a blitzing aspect and his length would make it easier to deflect passes. Grace is a stud, but I'm just sayin.....

i dont think you want to see those...... didnt end well for grace

I am excited to see him get on the field as well. As big an impact Figs had in spring camp I could see Grace pushing him in the fall.

Nice! Thanks man.

And just to clear it up I think Thomas deserves his all world hype. He has a little way to go physically but he is no doubt an elite, AA caliber talent. I'm just saying Grace isn't far behind. He does everything right on the field, and in the weight room apparently. He's got a good head on his shoulders and he will be making plays early for us and will develop into an NFL linebacker. He comes from a great coaching staff and I think he arrives more ready than most incoming freshmen.

Grace has one thing alot of linebackers dont have and thats natural pass coverage ability. his ability to back pedal and use his hips like a DB set him apart from alot of the linebackers out there, in my opinion. He is a smart player with a high football IQ and a high motor to boot. Very very excited about Jermaine Grace.

True true. Big thing is he seemed to respond to weight gain well. He was such a skinny kid that you had to wonder, but he's really put in the work. You can't just eat and get fat to put on weight, you have to get stronger and improve explosiveness, which I think he did splendidly.

Seeing guys like him and AQM blow up the weight room for such young guys really bodes well for the future.

His most important skill....the ability to want to hurt everybody on the other team! Dude gets nasty and talks mad ****!!!! Can't wait to see him on special teams, gonna ko several people!

look for better or worse this kid for at least a couple years will get compared to Matthew Thomas. count me as one that thinks Thomas is a real deal player despite all the bs around his recruiting.

but also count me in as one that thinks Grace will equal or better the success of Thomas. he has the gifted athletic ability and I think he's gifted with the added ability of the underdog drive. this kid wants it. he's gonna be a player

So are you going to somehow explain your statement on that game not ending well for grace even though it was a 3-0 victory for his team and Collins was injured in the second half or are you just going to pretend it didn't happen? I'll hang up and listen...

From all reports, Grace made it his personal business to own AC that night and he did. Thats what you have to like about him. Doesnt back down from a challenge. He knew exactly who AC was and wanted to let him know it wasnt going down that day.

I think Grace and MT are two different players. Its like trying to compare Jon Beason and Navarro Bowman. Two different type of LBs that excel at two different things. Grace isnt as versatile and as long as MT but he knows his role and will play it to perfection. Once they both put on weight it will be interesting to see who makes an impact sooner. Im happy we got Grace and losing MT sucked but Alex Figeroa could make us forget about him very quickly if he stays on the path he is going.

Grace will likely be our best coverage LB as soon as he suits up, kid is going to be big time.

didn't end well for Grace?

From a message board, re: 2012 game: Collins had "13 yards on 9 carries before leaving the game with a wrist injury".

On 2011 game:
http://articles.sun-sentinel.com/20...udge-miramar-high-miramar-coach-damon-cogdell

"South Plantation (7-4) was in no position to make a comeback, because there was little to offer other than star running back Alex Collins. The junior finished with 95 yards, but needed 26 carries to get there."
