The Miami sanction rumors have been buzzing and no one really knows what is going to happen. One Tampa Bay Hurricane commit says he is still a Cane but owes it to himself and the schools recruiting him to make sure Miami is the place for him.

Oklahoma State and Florida State are the newest schools showing St. Petersburg High 2013 TE lots of attention. However, Kerr reaffirms that he fully intends on becoming a Miami Hurricane.

“They [Oklahoma State] have been coming on strong. I do have an official visit set up there”. Kerr will visit OK State 11/10 when the Cowboys host West Virginia. ”Florida State as well. Coach Trickett came down about 2 weeks ago, 3 weeks ago came to talk to me at school and he came to my game that Friday night. So they have been showing some interest. No one else new beside them”. Kerr would like to take an unofficial visit to FSU but date has not been determined yet. Both FSU and Oklahoma State are recruiting Kerr strictly as a tackle.

Neither school has offered Kerr a scholarship, but he feels that Oklahoma State will when he visits in November. “I couldn’t not give a school a look if they are going to show interest. Just cause I feel, that if they are gonna go about offering me a scholarship then I have to at least be polite enough to give them a look”.

Kerr become a Miami commit early this past summer but says everything is net set. ”I haven’t closed any doors yet. I’m 100% committed to Miami, but I’m still going to look. I don’t think I can get what I’m getting at Miami anywhere else. But, I will know better if I look at the schools. Just because I’m looking at these schools, I’m not saying I’m uncertain about Miami. I’m very certain about Miami. But I just think it will be a very stupid of me not to give these schools a look”.

Jeremy admits that not knowing what will happen to Miami if sanctions come down, is a little disturbing. But says he really wants to be a Cane and only one thing would stop him. ”As far as sanctions go, the only thing that would not make me go to Miami, is if I lose my scholarship there. If they lose scholarships due to the sanctions and mine is one of them, obviously I would have to go somewhere else. But, if a bowl game this year or next year or whatever, I think I am going to ride it out with them. If I go to another school and I like them more than Miami, I will make that decision. I wouldn’t know that unless I did some research. That’s why I am taking these visits”.

“I love it there [Miami]. I love the education I would get there. I love all the coaches. I feel comfortable with all the coaches and all the players”.

I'm sure the coaches would reassure him that none of the 2013 kids would lose their schollies. To me he sounds still like he'll be a Cane.
