I’ll go out on a limb and say this isn’t planned by the staff, but rather by OSU/SFE.

Coming out of this weekend and next weekend there’s going to be a ton of momentum and excitement in this class. A kid like this COULD get swayed to at least decommit and watch the season play out.

OSU has to know this is Mario’s time to shine and would like to keep their prized recruit from being around all of the positive Miami feels (don’t know a better phrase, sorry).

They had to work really hard to make the visit this weekend even happen. They understand what’s going on down here…

I think the whole one day OV was BS that rivals put out his dad and fsu mods came out right away and said it wasn’t true But he’s still coming for a UOV this week on 22nd which is legend camp so he still going to campus with a lot of momentum going on

The coaches though have a much better feel for what's going on. To those of us on the outside looking in, it's like viewing the entire situation through a pinhole camera. In some cases, a recruit has already moved on, the staff is fully aware of it, and people here are sweating whether we've still got a shot at that recruit. There's a ton of misinformation and misunderstanding here.

Don't get me wrong, the coaches do get fooled or lost at times, but they generally know where they stand.

Curious if based of his OV now occurring this weekend if your opinion has changed? When you first posted this I could see it both ways. Benefits to OSU/SFE by letting him burn his OV for only a day, AND another different benefit for just keeping him off campus with positive vibes and getting him to push it back.

However now with a full weekend OV, during our biggest recruiting month, seems like it was planned by UM.

Same thing imo. In the bag for Ohio. Maybe it would be somewhat different if they brought him on a OV, for Texas A&M or Clemson maybe. But 1% difference. If there is any chance of him flipping, which i dont put stock into. Its gonna be something on the field.
