Yeah, you never know. Unless Smith has already signed his NIL deal and is getting cash right now with Ohio State you keep working it.

What if TVD throws for 3,700 yards and over 30 TD's this season, Young has a 1,000 yard season goes to NFL, Hartline does something ignorant again and loses job, or take a WR position in NFL, and maybe Ohio State's offense slides back some with Stroud gone. You just never know.

That's alot of what if's and don't forget what if we get a top QB in recruiting or the portal. TVD would be the key piece in the stats you just said.

Yeah but this guy is a legit top3 national consensus player you don’t get that every year. He’s as talented a WR that’s came out of Dade/Broward in quiet some time.
So was
  • 2023 - Brandon Innis, Hykeem Williams
  • 2022 - down year in So Fla
  • 2021 - Ja'Corey Brooks, Mario Williams
  • 2020 - Marcus Rosemy
  • 2019 - Frank Ladson
  • 2018 - Mark Pope
  • 2017 - Jerry Jeudy, Trevon Grimes
That's top 10 nationally, all of whom people were bummed out that we didn't get (some are bummed out we got Pope and eventually Ladson). Many were touted, during their recruitment, as generational talents.

The point is there will always be difference makers at WR in Fl. Knowing their front running nature, we have to give them a reason to come.

We said Inniss was generational last year.
This board loves that meaningless word that’s for sure 😂

You made a good point about Williams. I personally think we have less of a chance at Smith than we did Williams but….we will see I guess

Dawson could flip the script perhaps

To this board 1 year = generation.

When you think about it like that, it makes sense...🙄

All bets are off if the offense is what we think it’ll be.

I'd say the same thing about OSU's offense this year. They have McCord as a starter this year. He had a pretty subpar spring game and according to many, he was an overrated 5 star. Their offense will no doubt be inferior than the last few years and it would be a great sign for JSmith if we tear it up in Sept while OSU struggles on offense.

Something says a lot of this is choreographed to me.. I still have a good feeling about this recruitment come December. Too much smoke and mirrors going on for it not to be a plan behind the scenes from Miami.

Yes. If Smith, EVEN LATE, decides he still likes Miami, we are not limited by the "five official visits" rule any longer.

I thought he was.

physical traits are good, but fundamentals and leadership are off the charts.

Bad teams and groups need strong leaders.
Honestly I didn’t see anything generational about Innis. Average height and speed. That doesn’t normally equate to a generational talent at the position.

He is **** of a football player, though.
And that can take you far, even without the best measurables. Would have loved for him to stay home. I think he’ll be a very good college player.

However, I agree with your post. I wouldn’t describe Inns as generational talent. That stupid term gets thrown out every year and most are not even close to be “generational”. I don’t think people who post that **** even know what the term means. Similar to teenagers using the word “epic” or “literally”, when they have no clue what the word means.
